Colossal idiot here - it was the Kill switch. I never use it, but had inadvertently hit it and - when she didn't start, that put be into a mental spin...which for me isn't a productive state of mind. Thanks to everyone for the assist. Now, if the temps will lower a bit, I'll get back to riding.5 points

Those who succeed come to realize they have effectively made a lifestyle change, and it is to be maintained as such. The benefits are not just physiological, but psychological as well. You did this--no one did it for you. Savor the sense of satisfaction and well-being--you earned it. Resist the urge to look critically upon others who have not your sense of commitment and dedication (despite any obvious need on their part); but, rather provide quiet yet competent influence by continuing to lead this lifestyle of healthy example. Congrats, and carry on!3 points

Wow, I didn't know any of that. Maybe if I worked on cars I'd have a clue. I've replaced many compressors and clutches, never with OEM, and none have been an issue. Also, many "OEM" parts for old cars are rebuilt, not new, and could be coming from the same guy who does them for the parts stores. For the extra money spent you get a Ford box and shorter warrantee. And you're wrong about the "big cost" of replacing a compressor, assuming yours needs to be replaced. If yours "tore up" the bulk of the cost will be cleaning and replacing the parts that became contaminated with compressor shrapnel. Most "failed" Ford compressors I've deal with just needed the clutch adjusted or replaced.1 point

Sounds like you might have some good friends.🤣 I had trouble starting my Stihl Blower a few days ago. Turns out I couldn't remember which way the on/off switch was supposed to go. I absolutely hate when they use symbols instead of words. "I" on one side and "O" on the other. How hard is it to put the words "on" and "off" on a thumb switch?1 point

Let's make sure we both agree on the squatter thing...... I define "squatter" as the reason I will never, ever own another rental property.1 point

You're right, I glanced at the old 809 and put that in my mind. $120 is still great.1 point

Same for me... almost everyone I have spoken to have either stopped the drug or reduced the dose because of side affects. Do I have slight side affects, sure. But absolutely nothing that has even remotely made me consider stopping. Tummy ache for an hour. Injection site soreness. Maybe slight depression (don't really experience this anymore) No shitting problems, not massive aches, cramps, headaches... nothing. BUT.... I drink a metric shit ton of water and take 8 fiber pills a day. I also eat clean and healthy 85% of the time. No alcohol too. So... I am sure and have been told this definitely has something to do with my success.1 point

I can only medically speak for myself who lost 128 pounds on the meds and I am 17 months in. Pretty much zero side affects. No muscle or bone density loss. Feel amazing. Absolutely a magic wand for me.1 point

The last billing cycle we used 507kwh. Then I added another EV and we started using the AC, this month's usage will be just over 300kwh thanks to the solar power.1 point

Yea, it's fucking nuts. Carlos brought his fucking starlink to my house and hogged up almost 2 square feet of my dirt with it. Then I stupidly decided to move it all by myself and damn near threw out my back, I can almost guarantee that monstrosity weighs over 5 lbs.1 point

It was higher-end Chinesium metal, not Walmart, but the cushions were not as promised. I had put a five year "anything that happens" warranty on it, which paid us the full cost back ($600) since they couldn't repair it. So it was free, other than the repairs. On top of that it matches everything else much better than it did. I didn't like the colors at all, but loved the function and solid metal.1 point

The fan is a non-issue. An easy DIY replacement. The big cost of AC repair is the leak testing and recharging of the system. If the compressor tears up, the bulk of the cost is the labor and replacement refrigerant, not the compressor.-2 points
