  1. Nothing in your coolant or oil, I would suspect it is just local condensation contaminating the oil and sequestering in the PAIR galleys.

  2. This makes more sense here than anywhere else in the world.

  3. Time to dual! Purses at 20 paces! Maybe for you two, it could be syringes at 20 paces. LOL

  4. Sounds like you might have some good friends.🤣 I had trouble starting my Stihl Blower a few days ago. Turns out I couldn't remember which way the on/off switch was supposed to go. I absolutely hate when they use symbols instead of words. "I" on one side and "O" on the other. How hard is it to put the words "on" and "off" on a thumb switch?

  6. It's your phone service provider. They heard what you said about them, and they have released into your truck whatever gremlins they use for making calls drop unexpectedly.🫣 You should just burn it to the ground before they spread to your BMW.

  7. This thread changed my life. I realized that there's a way that Moriah approaches some discussions, particularly technical, that I always chose to hear as negative. Today I decided to stop. It was a huge improvement. We can choose to make the best out of every perceived negative experience, like this, or not.

  11. Well, it seems even this forum is not immune to pussyfication engulfing entire country. 😁 I can't believe all the flak people are giving racer for that comment.

  12. the fact that the person who has been broke all his life chose to get angry instead of considering the advice shared to him explains why he has been broke all his life and will stay broke. not everyone can communicate with the tact ,diplomacy that someone in lets say a management position has been trained to do. maybe we are just thicker skinned here in aus

  13. Also I never correct grammar or vernacular if it's not intrinsically important to the conversation, but since we're making jokes about it now... Inductive Reasoning: • Definition: Inductive reasoning involves observing specific instances or patterns and then forming a general conclusion or theory based on those observations. • Direction: It moves from the specific to the general (bottom-up). • Certainty: Inductive conclusions are not guaranteed to be true, but rather they are probable or likely based on the evidence. • Example: Observing that several swans are white and concluding that all swans are white (though this is later proven false by the discovery of black swans). • Use Cases: Inductive reasoning is often used in scientific discovery, where observations lead to the formation of hypotheses. It's also used in everyday life when making predictions based on past experiences. Deductive Reasoning: • Definition: Deductive reasoning starts with a general principle or premise and applies it to a specific situation to reach a logical conclusion. • Direction: It moves from the general to the specific (top-down). • Certainty: If the premises are true, then the conclusion in deductive reasoning is guaranteed to be true (provided the logic is valid). • Example: If all men are mortal (premise), and Socrates is a man (premise), then Socrates is mortal (conclusion). • Use Cases: Deductive reasoning is often used in mathematics, logic, and formal proofs. It's also used in situations where a general rule or principle can be applied to a specific case.

  14. I have no idea how you would induce it that way. Which, btw, a smart man would know that this was an inductive process, not deductive. LOL Seriously though, I have no idea if it's the half-empty/half-full way of looking at things, or somehow going through life learning one assumption or the other, or what. I never assume the worst intentions, and am happy to be wrong of ill intent is proven later, while some people do it constantly. I also don't try to assume more than is stated or written, and try to speak with precision because I don't want assumptions made about my words (which happens a lot anyway). Half an hour ago I told a prospective new vendor this: Hey, I want to be clear on something, we've gotten far enough to have this call and for me to show you our infrastructure openly which means I trust you and want to work with you. You can't offend me, and you need to talk to me like I am looking to you for expertise, since I am. You can and should say "your shit is all fucked up" if you feel that. Nothing is off the table from here on out in this relationship, ok? Back to the original topic, I decided on a weight loss strategy at 256 pounds. I got to 210 "without drugs or shortcuts." By eating nothing other than whole plants for 187 days. That means zero oil, zero processed, literal whole plants, period. THEN adding tirzepatide took me to 180-185 ish where I hover and want to lose 10-15 more. Neither Scott nor I intend to put anyone down for a different path.

  15. Hey All, Disconnected the XX (2000 model) from the trickle charger, pushed out of my garage, turned the key and no FI sound. FI light stays on... The cycle won't start and I have no idea what to do. I'm not very mechanical but would like your ideas on what might be going on. Thanks in advance. Mike in Lansdowne, PA

  16. If the oil and coolant isn't mixing, just top it off and keep an eye on it. You could put compressed air in each cylinder and listen for sounds but it might be just what Joe said.

  17. There are two ways to parse most things in English. I have often pointed that out here, in many contexts. It's frustrating when someone interjects intent and judgement into otherwise neutral language. Option 1: Drugs = shortcuts Shortcuts = personal failure/weakness OR...just as written, no drugs were used, end of sentence. Also, no other shortcuts were used. No judgements made. Move more, eat less. Which if you're using drugs or other "shortcuts" you kinda need also anyway. They all work together. For some people, there absolutely is a stall on the "no drugs no shortcuts" method and now we have the data to prove that.

  18. Sorry about your ego. I didnt say - or in my mind even imply that people who get there a different path are less. I just shared MY path. You chose to be offended by it.

  19. "Should" according to you, and they're often not. I use them almost exclusively. File that "knowledge" away with all your other nutty knowledge because this is part of the reason I use rebuilt almost exclusively; lifetime warranty on rebuilt vs. 1 year on a new OEM. And to get warrantee on the OEM you'll probably have to supply proof that the system was cleaned and that the orifice and filter/drier were replaced, probably with OEM only. Rebuilt always come with the clutch and necessary seals, unlike OEM.

  20. Colossal idiot here - it was the Kill switch. I never use it, but had inadvertently hit it and - when she didn't start, that put be into a mental spin...which for me isn't a productive state of mind. Thanks to everyone for the assist. Now, if the temps will lower a bit, I'll get back to riding.

  21. possibly the kill switch,as xxitanium says . are you trying to start it with the bike on the centre stand with the sidestand up. is it in gear and side stand down,is it in neutral and sidestand down but neutral light not on .if so its a faulty neutral switch . Just checked on my 99 model with bike in gear and sidestand down.the fuel pump still cycles .

  23. Yeah, the photos don't make it as obvious as in person. Next step is to print a colored version. Hahahahaha, get it? Colored? Black man... I kill me.

  24. Too many wheelies perhaps? I recently replaced some BB wheel bearings. I took the specs off the old ones and purchased genuine SKF off a bearing retailer. Way cheaper than OEM, but not much more than Chinese ebay junk. Anyway, do you think the rustoleum will hold up on the calipers when you bleed them? I have done some rattle can repaint on some parts of the bike but not the calipers for that reason. 🍺
