  3. I just took the bike out for a run, ran it up to 140. Maybe it's my imagination but it seems to run smoother and stronger. The cleaning of the tank and the new filter may have something to do with it. I don't know if the diaphragm not functioning properly would have had any effect. Now to lube the chain and wax the bike.

  4. Somehow, by the end of this thread, this will all be resolved if everyone buys an EV. 🤣

  6. My tire machine is tango umbrella. Getting it back online or acquiring a new one is non-negotiable come spring. These Bridgestones on these rims are an absolute bear. Can't even imagine putting Michelins on them.

  10. Corn dogs paired with ethanol shots. Capture the emissions from metabolization to make non-fossil fuels for corn farmers to use in their tractors.

  11. Can you please show us how do you eat what is available in open range? Can humans eat hay in the winter? Can you show us recipes with hay as a main ingredient? Thanks in advance.

  12. I don't see how beef production is an "ecological disaster". Please don't show me a link to some "professional" chicken little. There's always someone who claims doom and gloom, and they almost always leave out the parts that counter-act the doom & gloom part. From an unbiased standpoint, humans are the ecological disaster. This planet can only sustain a certain population, and all the "support" we require. Interesting how "wild-life management" is readily embraced, but managing human life is unthinkable. I'm not suggesting that we start randomly exterminating humans. Just remove all the safety labels, and let nature decide.

  13. I gave up on those completely. I'm glad I did. They are just too fragile, and you end up trying to be SOOO careful, and then slice yourself open as a reward. Go ahead, ask me how I know. I have them as a backup in bags, but now never use them. I got a Dewalt folding utility knife and the Dewalt carbide blades that will cut almost anything. Have never looked back.

  14. Well, good luck. It would suck to be forced to replace carb due to float valve issue. I'd examine bowls for signs of float making contact with it.

  15. I'd check stator. Is it kick start? I have old school air-cooled xr600r. 628 actually. Dual carbs. I got it used of course, somehow came with street plates. In Illinois. Anyway, it was difficult to start as fuck till I troubleshooted stator. It was out of specs. Starting is easy now on new stator.

  17. So I disassembled the whole switch and sure enough spraying the crap out of it with detoxit was not enough. Couldn't believe there was still so much dirt in there. So after some creative cleaning and some fresh dilectric grease on moving parts works and feels good as new. Thanks for the advice.

  18. Here is my vintage street ride. Yes they are not up to todays standards for sure! Don't feel bad for everybody behind you, fuck that. I get so many thumbs up it's not funny. I thinking of putting some chambers on it but stuck on the stock look and really not wanting to mess with jetting. Fun to putt around on though. 2 smokes forever!
