SwampNut Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 2.5 degrees hotter than normal, nausea, exhausted. The latter could be from a concert last night, outdoors for hours standing mostly. Quote
CBR-RR-XX-CESS Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Feel for you, I came down with my first case of Covid fifteen day's ago, 5 day Paxlovid treatment . Better in five day's but for the last eight day's have a horrible head cold that's better one day and worse the next. Unusual symptom just prior to testing positive- I had a bloody nose for three day's so much so I went to urgent care for it. DR claimed it was from long term use of Doxycycline. Next day I had full on Covid. Susan came down with it also and also experienced a bloody nose but to a much lesser degree then me. Do I skip the new Vax this time around? Don't know. Quote

SwampNut Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 Not COVID or flu, so it must be monkey pox. Unrelated, you guys ever get a sudden urge to fling poo? 8 minutes ago, blackhawkxx said: Being around large groups of people is bad on many levels. Get better. We were in the pit for Korn, and our closest neighbors were people who go to almost one concert per week. Incubator. 1 Quote

SwampNut Posted October 5, 2024 Author Posted October 5, 2024 Adding one more bit, there are few things that could have incubated in 12-14 hours. I was feeling shitty hours ago, and tested temp around 3:30. Concert was 4pm-10pm. In theory a cold could have a 12 hour onset, but rarely. We were at another concert on Sunday so that's more likely though it was very small. Can you name that singer/writer/musician? Quote

superhawk996 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 It hit me, Britney Spears is who I was thinking, but I was told by my more knowledgeable people that it's not her. Quote

Were you down in the mosh pit body surfing? 😀 How's 54 year old Debbie sounding? Quote

It hit me that most people assume she's a washed up 90s teen pop star, and aren't aware of her hundreds of credits and time on Broadway. The show was raw and unfiltered, she's reinventing her life and career. She had new material, some mistakes and restarts, lots of participation with all of us. I think the place holds 250 people, sold out, but I have friends in low places for access. Oh yeah, so I'm fine to day. No idea WTF happened. Slept nearly ten hours, and I feel fine. Temp is only 0.2 over my normal which is 97.7 (I can't even do "normal" body temp normally). Quote
DaveK Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 I was feeling like you a few weeks ago. Slept 20 hours and magic. Better. Quote

I'm looking forward to fucking around with shop stuff and have things to do. Despite the retarded 105 degree high today, still. That's a lot of deep sleep. I did take 120mg of melatonin. Yes, I said one hundred twenty, it's a new experiment, backed with some good evidence. 1 Quote

Read you should take a break from it after a while. I take 3mg, don't really know if it helps but I almost never slept solid (not wake multi times) but try to do whatever to help. Never been able to work out a pattern of why I sleep better some times than others. Quote

Are you familiar with things like microdosing and ultra-low-dose being a totally different result than normal doses? Well this is the opposite. I ran across it accidentally, and saw good evidence, so fuck it. I'll make that it's own post soon. 8 minutes ago, blackhawkxx said: Never been able to work out a pattern of why I sleep better some times than others. Same. And I have SO MANY FUCKING MONITORS. Oh, there is this, which is not a reasonable therapeutic avenue. Everything gets better with more alcohol. Quote
SwampNut Posted October 6, 2024 Author Posted October 6, 2024 And today, nothing. Slept really well for two nights (very unusual), and normal temp now (for me). Also, a PSA, we have two thermometers and one reads a varying number that's always 1.5-2.5 high. I guess, check yours when you feel normal? I tested those against an automotive VOM with temp, and an IR thermometer in my mouth. Moriah suggested rectal as a backup measurement, for science. Quote
