I can think of two easy DIY bolt-on extensions that won't require modding the trailer. A straight square tube from the front of the frame extending under the coupler as far as needed, or a T attached to the V section of the tongue and extending forward past the coupler. The front part of either could be attached to the existing coupler by installing a ball on it, the rear could be U-bolted or through bolted with nuts. superhawk996
I would use only the finest Chinesium tubing stated as being super strong. 2" square tubing should be enough, but they sell couplers for 3" so I might go the overkill route just to feel good about it. SwampNut
So I think will order that ramp/extender, and go from there. Doesn't seem like I would be wrong with that, and if I want the carrier later, not a big loss and likely still useful.

SwampNut
No, totally generic. They come in a wide single model and a narrow dual. Pretty sure for a motorcycle I want the wide single. With the low truck height, I might be able to deal with it without a second ramp. But if not, an ultra cheap small ramp will be the answer. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GM859O6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=
IcePrick
There's currently an ongoing hailstorm outside here, but once it's over, let me go down to the shed and get the one I have out. I'll measure it and snap a couple pics. Maybe give it a try first? It's a pretty good one, don't remember the brand though.
SwampNut
Good idea. And fucking hail, in late April. What the actual fuck. I wonder if people are still saying that this is normal weather for the last year.
IcePrick
I wouldn't say it's ABnormal here... hoping for some rain in May.

SwampNut
Well one of these will get ordered, the Ready Ramp in silver just came back to stock. Mike has one, so there's a point for it. https://readyramp.com/shop/readyramp-i-beam-compact-bed-extender-ramp-silver-90-open-50-on-truck/ And then there's this on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GM859O6/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_7?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1 Amazon ramp seems better looking in the photos, and I *think* that *maybe* it could lock in place to be a scaffold. If so that's a bonus. The Ready Ramp has more space being square.

Either could be a scaffold with two tie downs. A bit redneck, but it should work. A strap from the lower part of each vertical to the center-ish of the horizontal part. SwampNut
Hard to compare the actual fit between different truck sizes, but the fact that Mike likes his Ready Ramp makes it a good choice. It was my first choice too, and only held off due to being out of stock. It will be here when we get back from FL.
SierraKLR
Just hitch carry…..simple and drama free. Edited May 13 by SierraKLR
Zero Knievel
What kind of hitch is that? The ones I’ve seen ARE NOT rated for a full size motorcycle.

But look away, this solution will not work for you. Nowhere near enough tie down locations for your 10 strap, spider web anchoring method.
SwampNut
I haven't loaded a bike at all yet. However talking to people who have used the cross-wise hit carriers on a few vehicles, EV and fuel, their experience with massive range loss tells me not to. Looks good though. Now I need to actually load up a bike and do a range test.
