  1. I've seen his safety considerations around the shop, no way he's gonna bareback a paper back.

    New build

If the engine is complete and you have the harness, you'll just need to connect to the ignition box and coils. If you don't have a harness you'd need a wiring diagram to connect the parts. What does "Y reg" mean?
  3. Holy shit! I am so glad I didn't know that before hauling bikes on my unsprung bike trailer. Now I have to make sure to forget this before I use it again, especially with the 800+ pound bikes as I'm sure those would eat straps in no time if I knew that suspension is the only way to keep from breaking them. I guess the previous owner also didn't know, he would have been super fucked since he often towed it off-road.
  4. I was thinking something to tow behind the motorcycle also. A U-joint or CV joint with a 2" tube to go into the truck hitch should work to keep it upright while allowing articulation. Seems like it should be a fairly easy build. It would be great if I had a couple complete driveshafts sitting in my scrap metal pile...oh yea, there they are.
  5. When it looks to good to be true, it usually is, but not always. When I was hunting for a 7.3 truck I came across a cream puff F-250; fully loaded, low miles, garage kept, one owner, full service history, and priced below all the high mile beaters. When I finally got ahold of the seller it was gone. They were surprised that so many people wanted grampa's noisy stinky old truck that none of the family wanted.
  6. My guess is that if it's legit, it's already sold. I haven't tracked prices on them, but that seems too low to not be a scam.
  7. I have too. And when the thought has popped in my head I've thought "I should google that" and never do.
  8. Ahh. I thought you were referring to the engine, not the vehicle. And much of the reason that the F-150 is cheaper is because there's more of them around so the parts are much more plentiful/competitively priced.
  9. It hit me, Britney Spears is who I was thinking, but I was told by my more knowledgeable people that it's not her.
  10. No, but her face on the screen reminds me of a pop girl who's famous, but who's name I can't think of.
  11. Considerably more than what?
  12. The 7.3 has nowhere near the power of modern Diesels, but somehow it has enough power to pass the repair shops that the modern ones just can't seem to get around.
  13. I've got a rust free diesel Excursion with only 450k 😆
  14. I need help from chapter 2, but I know that there's no mutherfucking way in hell that Joe can set me straight on choosing the right bike. Choosing the right dozen bikes to own, maybe.
  15. It would be great if the Chinese biologist also added Covid resistance to those cells.
  16. Welcome mate. Unfortunately we already have an Oscar here so you'll need to fuck off. With love, Oscar.
  17. If it's the bolt holding the caliper to the bracket, probably. If it's the caliper bracket bolt holding it to the knuckle, very unlikely.
  18. Seeing it on screen without me doing it is even more beautiful, thanks!
  19. It appears to be.
  20. Many products claim to protect what they're applied to, but I've seen evidence showing that some of them actually cause damage.
  21. The only milk I drink is half & half, working my way down from the pure stuff. My Dad was a whole milk drinker, doc told him he needed to switch to non-fat or at least low-fat because of his cholesterol. "But doc, that stuff tastes like shit." So doc recommended that he buy some low-fat and mix it with whole milk about 50/50, then start leaning out the blend slowly so he could ween off of whole milk. When dad got to the store he was amazed to find that they sell it pre-mixed. He was more surprised to find out that the shit's even better than whole milk. Then he had to be weened off of half & half.
  22. Pretty sure that the same one I have, and pretty sure it's because of the same sale Blackhawk posted about. I stopped the video early when he said that setting 1 is the most powerful, it's the least. From some quick testing, don't rely on this; setting 1 hits a little over 100 ft.lbs, 2 is a little over 200, no idea where 3 goes but it seems like it's a bigger power jump. The auto setting is pretty cool and I used it for a little while, but went back to doing it by feel in one of the other settings. I normally use 3 for removal because I'm impatient, then use 1 or 2 for installation.
  23. I caught a blurb on the radio about how doctors are now saying that whole milk and cheese are good for you. I wonder what the current stance on eggs is, that has also run the good-bad bullshit a few times. Is bread good or bad these days? Dried meats? Fuck it, I'll order a pizza to cover all the bases.
  24. Do you feel that going over it is truly half-assed work, or is it just more satisfying to completely re-do it? I give 0 shits about covering existing flooring that's solid, and in this case I'd consider it an upside since it would be hard to duplicate what was done. Shit, I just realized that you're going to have to fill it back in to match the level of the floor outside the bathroom. Remove all that knowing I'll have to rebuild it? Oh fucking hell no!!! But cudos to you for taking that on.....ya crazy fuck. I re-did most of my flooring and a very large portion of the house had vinyl tiles that were a mutherfucker to remove so I stopped trying. I used leveling compound where necessary around entries and laid down new vinyl.
  25. I would have laid the new over the old, fuck all that work.
