  1. Past hour
  2. We aren't understanding each other. No need to continue a circular conversation.
  3. No drugs, no shortcuts. A lot gym hours and putting the fork down. how does that compare to the dribble you just posted
  4. Not offended one bit nor did I say I was offended, I don't think. Just expressing that I'd never express to a group of people I felt remotely close to how I achieved something in a way that others can't, didn't or won't.... especially a health thing. So Scott just bought a used car. He posted about it... now I am going to post up in a relatively similar timeframe as him about how.... I'd never buy a used car to drive back and forth to see my family. I mean, anyone with any type of money wouldn't ever buy that old of a car, used. I mean, I guess if I was poor and without money I might. I wouldn't put myself or my family in danger in an old POS vehicle with that many miles on it by such a crappy manufacturer. I wouldn't risk the lives of my family or myself. A smart person simply wouldn't do that.
  5. that was about superbirds friend. you on the other hand for whatever reason known only to yourself ,chose to get offended instead of being happy for your friend who made a big improvement to his health. you actually started off being happy for him but then you pulled the im offended card.
  6. Today
  7. If this is referencing me... couldn't be further from the truth. I get angry, annoyed, bothered by nothing these days. Like, zero things. But I can see how someone who might not be listening to what I am typing...could read it that way
  8. +100000 Not everyone can listen with such either. Quite often even if it's spoken with all of those. Almost nobody has been trained to LISTEN, even in management.
  9. Well, it seems even this forum is not immune to pussyfication engulfing entire country. 😁 I can't believe all the flak people are giving racer for that comment.
  10. the fact that the person who has been broke all his life chose to get angry instead of considering the advice shared to him explains why he has been broke all his life and will stay broke. not everyone can communicate with the tact ,diplomacy that someone in lets say a management position has been trained to do. maybe we are just thicker skinned here in aus
  11. And neither would I, nor would Mike, and he didn't say that. Again, you've leaped into (induced) something that wasn't there. People too often hear what they expect instead of what was said/written. Or you may have leapt, depending on which continent you're on right now. "What a person of high intelligence would do going forward, to fix the past, is this..."
  12. Or just not put a known group down while you boost yourself up. Maybe it's a human thing, maybe it's a leadership thing... or could just be a me thing. I'd never say to someone I know that decided to get cancer treatment based off of or with only one doctor opinion "a smart person would have gotten a second or third opinion" - even if I thought so. Peace
  13. I used the term appropriately.
  14. next time you want to share a fantastic personal achievement scott, remember to wear the kid gloves
  15. Also I never correct grammar or vernacular if it's not intrinsically important to the conversation, but since we're making jokes about it now... Inductive Reasoning: • Definition: Inductive reasoning involves observing specific instances or patterns and then forming a general conclusion or theory based on those observations. • Direction: It moves from the specific to the general (bottom-up). • Certainty: Inductive conclusions are not guaranteed to be true, but rather they are probable or likely based on the evidence. • Example: Observing that several swans are white and concluding that all swans are white (though this is later proven false by the discovery of black swans). • Use Cases: Inductive reasoning is often used in scientific discovery, where observations lead to the formation of hypotheses. It's also used in everyday life when making predictions based on past experiences. Deductive Reasoning: • Definition: Deductive reasoning starts with a general principle or premise and applies it to a specific situation to reach a logical conclusion. • Direction: It moves from the general to the specific (top-down). • Certainty: If the premises are true, then the conclusion in deductive reasoning is guaranteed to be true (provided the logic is valid). • Example: If all men are mortal (premise), and Socrates is a man (premise), then Socrates is mortal (conclusion). • Use Cases: Deductive reasoning is often used in mathematics, logic, and formal proofs. It's also used in situations where a general rule or principle can be applied to a specific case.
  16. I have no idea how you would induce it that way. Which, btw, a smart man would know that this was an inductive process, not deductive. LOL Seriously though, I have no idea if it's the half-empty/half-full way of looking at things, or somehow going through life learning one assumption or the other, or what. I never assume the worst intentions, and am happy to be wrong of ill intent is proven later, while some people do it constantly. I also don't try to assume more than is stated or written, and try to speak with precision because I don't want assumptions made about my words (which happens a lot anyway). Half an hour ago I told a prospective new vendor this: Hey, I want to be clear on something, we've gotten far enough to have this call and for me to show you our infrastructure openly which means I trust you and want to work with you. You can't offend me, and you need to talk to me like I am looking to you for expertise, since I am. You can and should say "your shit is all fucked up" if you feel that. Nothing is off the table from here on out in this relationship, ok? Back to the original topic, I decided on a weight loss strategy at 256 pounds. I got to 210 "without drugs or shortcuts." By eating nothing other than whole plants for 187 days. That means zero oil, zero processed, literal whole plants, period. THEN adding tirzepatide took me to 180-185 ish where I hover and want to lose 10-15 more. Neither Scott nor I intend to put anyone down for a different path.
  17. Well, if you use that term right after talking about him being broke... how would/should one not deduce that you are basically saying or inferring they aren't smart. Racer knows drugs for weight loss is a hot topic here and has helped a lot of people. Why the need to say to supposed people you like... I did it without drugs. How about just saying... I did it. Maybe I am assuming that if/when you are dealing with people you like, you go out of your way to not put them down (knowing they did it with drugs) while supposedly boosting yourself up. Does he raise his kids that way? I'd assume not.
  18. Condensation was my first thought. If the last run before disassembly was a cold start and fairly short run time that would be an extra reason for it existing. Being only in #3 could be plain ole luck, or possibly assisted by a leaking FPR or vacuum leak.
  19. What are you trying to say? Exactly what I did say. My long time friend Pat was here and we started talking about money, he's been broke his entire life. Mikesail said "a smart man would" and gave some thoughts/advice. Pat zeroed in on "a smart man would" and took it to mean that Mike was calling him dumb and got a bit shitty about it. My thought shifted to Mike at that moment "a smart man would notice that Pat's really mad and angling to fight about it". I've known Pat to be a fighter, not a thinker. I assume Mike's brain said something to the effect of "there's no reason for this guy to be mad so he's clearly not looking to have a fist fight". I stayed seated, but prepared to jump in and stop Pat if he crossed the line. Pat later realized that it was dumb to react the way he did.
  20. Yesterday
  21. ...yeah, right after I typed it...
  22. This makes more sense here than anywhere else in the world.
  23. Can't kill those Hondas. I have tried.
  24. Last week
  25. That is one suspicion. I just couldn't think of how the #3 was full of it, and all the others are clean. (Well, just full of carbon...)
