Stator plug melted on a ride 2 months ago at Back of the Dragon, in a gas station parking lot I used electrical tape and aluminum foil along with my Leatherman to repair it. Cut off burnt chunks, exposed new clean wire, twisted each wire and with the electrical tape wrapped it up, applied layer of foil to protect and act as a cheap heat sink, and avoid melting back together, another wrap of tape on top. 9hrs later back into the driveway and not a twitch from my meter rest of the trip. 17 yrs old 90 miles from home, throttle cable snapped on buddies truck. Ran a string from carb though firewall, seems simple enough fix. Except his truck was 3 on the tree, was a wild ass dance to make it all happen but it worked.

Damn, they match my sons leathers exactly. Except for the size, -

Let me check my spare parts box when I get home tomorrow. Might have some items, but cleared out a bunch of stuff and gave them to a friend not long ago. -
So, what is it really?

A liquid multi screen filtration system. Many facilities use huge ones to aid in sediment removal before bottling.

I probably have a few hundred collecting dust. Well, except for a couple classics I will watch once a year. -
Looks fun, Friend asked if I could give his dirtbike a look over. Dropped it off last week, 1987 XR200R, still had original tires on it.

I have two of Joe's former toys for track duty. Have been looking around for a small nimble toy for street use

I did that once, Once,

Is this a harley? Perfectly normal and keep riding or pushing.. If a blackbird, not normal. Remember reading about the oil line in the front of the bike chrome 1/4" tube getting a pin hole in it and spraying on exhaust.

Go with a series regulator over mosfet if you can.

Icepicks bike had zx1400 forks and wheels. Got to ride it for a bit after NeXXt14. I enjoyed it a lot. Brake upgrades were nice and he had a set of dan moto bars on it making it very comfy.

Just ride it till the wheels fall off. 110 link, 530 size, KY lube all good. As mentioned above the front oem was rubber dampened. The XX is so smooth and quite that you hear stuff normally drowned out by mechanical noises, wind, screaming... Enjoy the trip Phil, we need to catch up one day. Drink some good beer, have a good cigar and enjoy the moment.

The XX forks are seriously easy to pull down and work on. Do my own every couple years and like using 7.5 oil. Did find out that honda was cheap in the amount of oil they put in from factory. According to the manual and doing it by height I imagine honda shorted me an ounce or so in each fork.

Rode Mikes ZXXX for about 50 miles leaving NeXXt in 2014. Felt truly amazing with the Dan Moto bars and upgraded brakes. Seriously had me considering it.
