An amusing and well-grounded theory

I know for sure that if I left something on the second floor of the house, I'm less likely to go get it.  I don't even care about the stairs and generally fly up them, and congratulate myself for getting another Apple Watch badge for flights climbed, LOL.  But my lizard brain is far more likely to tell me that I don't really need that one item, if it's upstairs.  If I left my phone up there, please don't bother calling me.  Not happening.

Stairs.  In the last week or so I did a bunch of work on the main floor including trim and every cut was down downstairs.  So it was get up off the floor, go down the stairs, cut, go upstairs times 100 plus.

In your post was it just being lazy or a work/reward ratio thing?

Not sure if you mean what I typed here, or the original post.  I was not involved in that discussion, it's just something I found interesting.  I guess it's a bit of both for me.  If I *think* about it I go do it, but my background instinct is that the item is gone forever.  Or until I go there for other reasons.  There's very little reward for having my phone with me during the day, so it's low effort.

I had a great time installing the upstairs RO system.  If plumbing is anything for you like it is for me, 100 times up and down is obviously just a start.

Oh, and I find it annoying that my mountain bike gear is mostly upstairs.  I'm annoyed to climb the stairs before...going out for exercise.

Like the people who circle the parking lot waiting for a close spot in the parking lot of the gym.
