  1. Huh, they look more "pro" now. Mine was inside of a cassette box. Seriously. But the dyno didn't lie, went from 142 to 149 *and* got rid of that lean blip slightly off idle. There were no negative side effects. Like Oscar said, it just adds slightly more time to each injector pulse, so it can't REMOVE fuel from the programmed curve. But it also just stops working if it dies and doesn't affect the bike. I'd recommend it. I saw a UFO after leaving their place to ride home. I'm certain it had nothing to do with being awake for 24 hours riding in the desert and sitting in a hot dyno room.
  2. No, just install a second set of eaves after the first fails.
  3. Sears used to only sell Chamberlain/Liftmaster, so I assume it still is that way. The latest ones use an encrypted serial connection between the controller and switch, so someone couldn't just cut a wire and touch it together to open the door. In most garages that doesn't matter since the crook would already be in it, but with gates and some unusual garage configurations it does matter. So they just made all of the opener systems protected that way.
  4. This shit is pretty amazing. I will never be without it. The incident Oscar was talking about was with my sea planes and the home-built boats where I wanted to use non-marine electronics. This makes them totally reject water. Submerging the electronics does nothing to them. I use it on things like fence hinges and latches, or anything that's outside and needs corrosion protection that seems to last "forever." Years I guess. It's a thick foamy oily coating. I've used it on anything on the boat that looked like it was hinting at oxidizing. Oh, there are two types, I use the red. I can't remember what was different about the blue label.
  5. Why not? It can't still be cold out there.
  6. Shit, I totally missed this before. PM your address and I'll send it out. It's light, will be a buck or two, no worries.
  7. Green iPad mini magnetic cover (actual Apple brand). Free to anyone who needs it. In decent shape, not perfect, but just normal light usage.
  8. Does someone have a steering damper for my head?
  9. I had missed this thread before. My god, just...fuck. What in the actual fucking fuck. The best thing about putting in a new reliable water heater is getting rid of the old one.
  10. I had sent him the message below and got zero response. It would be tempting to buy it, find it's not in that condition, and start a claim. My previous experience was that eBay and Amex settled much farther in my favor than I would have asked for.
  11. On the topic of frequent oil changes, it goes along with my general view of the common myth of doing something under the premise, "What could it hurt?" That's right up there with "worst case scenario." There's always a worser case, and there's always a possibility for something to have horrible unintended and unpredictable consequences. I don't believe any action is without a consequence of some sort. I guess I'm an ultimate believer in the butterfly effect and general entropy.
  12. LOL! That person should never be allowed to work on anything more complex than a small porcelain walrus.
  13. Good question and I don't know. In my case they resolved it as a money-off deal and I kept the vehicle. I would imagine the shipping costs might depend on whether the seller did the shipping or you did. IE, did the seller sell it "where is" or did they sell it as a shipped item? Small stuff that is shipped does put the cost of shipping BOTH ways on the seller for defective items.
  14. Anyone interested in this for shipping costs? It's got literally two hours of use on it, for two video recordings. I won't use it again. Nady DKW-1LT Wireless VHF Lavaliere Lapel Clip On Microphone Omnidirectional Mic
  15. Glad to hear it. Moriah really put very little use on them. She's got more headphones than shoes.
  16. Hmmm, kind of warm for a cross country ride....<looks at calendar> It has vehicle protection, and I can tell you from experience that it works. Of course a fly-and-ride brings some risk of losing time and flight costs.
  17. $100 shipped? They originally sold for $200 as a kickstarter and are now $249 retail. In great shape, little use. They can play from a BT device or from their own built-in storage. 19. It's 15 miles from me, if anyone would like me to go set it on fire have a look for them.
