  1. Today
  2. You would be surprised how many people try to pet them, even more, the elk in town. We get a few groups every year stopping in front of the house to ask if the elk in the yard are pets.
  3. I was there for that. It appears that it's not like the shitty extended auto repair warrantees, but I had previously assumed they were. Hmmm, I wonder what it would cost for my 1965 built house.
  4. I showed this to Ashley and Randy and got "why didn't he just raise the tongue so the water would run off the back?"
  5. Jeezus, you really love doing stuff the hard way don't you. There's no need to support the tarp at all, just raise the front of the trailer and water will flow out the back. It also means minimal strapping since the tarp doesn't have to be kept tight like it does with your support system. Yes, too easy, I get it.
  6. If I thought I needed more sodium I'd eat the stuff I like that's loaded with it, not some crappy drink.
  7. Yesterday
  8. The rain was falling Jeff. Desperation can make for quick solutions.
  9. No,no Cal the ladder goes into the shop!
  10. This kept the water from pooling in my boat. Took about six minutes to throw it in there as rain was falling months ago. DaveK posted a gizmo I want to buy for next year.
  11. I don't think 15 pages is unreasonable. Mike does good work and lives for complications and litigation. Might take an hour or so to actually use the trailer though.
  12. Definitely, but if you say that, 99% of people think you killed some different, endangered species, because of whatever Indian propaganda.
  13. Probably a Bison but that's ok, lots of people get that wrong. My favorite still is from the "Cheeseburger in Paradise" joint in Gardiner Mt. $21 for tourists, $10 for locals. Includes frys and Hienz 54
  14. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083BPTXRP?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details That's what I bought to replace it, weighs barely over 3 kilos and has mid-level flex as all hybrids do. I just installed it and happy with it. If you want a super compact and light one, the self-expanding/retracting ones are neat. Lower flow and mildly fragile, but ultra easy to handle.
  15. They make an "electrolyte" drink which is code for saltwater and some added flavors. Not satisfied with getting the small market of athletes who actually need it plus the people who are already stupid enough to drink it when not needed, they've gone on a social media disinformation campaign. "Drink less water!" "Get more salt!" They are not outright lying, so they can bypass the FDA and all semblance of laws that prevent advertising bad medical advice. "Some research suggests..." and they spew their bullshit claims. Ah, right, weasel words. "Odds are..." spew bullshit. Don't fall for it.
  16. Extremely light. Super light. But remember it's also much thinner. Rubber is heavy and hard to deal with. Polyurethane or rubber/poly (hybrid) hoses give you much more flexibility, particularly in cold. I ended up getting a hybrid to run from the spigot to my "around front" area. A place where the swamp cooler lives, we hang out, clean bikes, etc. From there I split it to two Flexzilla hoses, one for the cooler and one for washing things and to hose down the driveway for evap cooling. The Flexzilla hoses are so easy to deal with. The ultimate in flex, but heavier than poly, not a lot.
  17. Tow bar not covered. Totally unacceptable.
  18. For the few times I'd use the trailer, it's not that big a deal if it does the job.
  19. I heard that ground rods will put a hurt on mowers. 😉
  20. That works but looks like a lot of work to undo and redo each time for use. Why not build a little shelter for it. Don't that sound like a fun summer project? I love doing stupid stuff like that.
  21. Took some of the wood from the old steps to support the tarp so water won’t pool.
  22. Wonder if that guy worked on bikes and those were abandoned. Local shop had a lot full of unclaimed bikes. Either needed work or owner never paid. Business owner didn’t have the time to go to court to get title so he could dispose of them and didn’t have a written agreement for work done that bikes not claimed after X months would be disposed of. So, his shop was full of derelict bikes.

  24. Is is heavier than normal? I know someone that bought a really heavy duty one (rubber?) and when you coiled it up, it was really heavy and so thick it was hard to hold in one hand while coiling.
