Plants for hills I don't want to mow

Any suggestions? I hate mowing the fucking hills and would prefer some low maintenance semi attractive ( read semi very loosely) vegetation or otherwise.

Obviously I'm in Nova Scotia so something with big enough balls to survive winter is required.

Fuck mowing hills.

+1 on sumac, they're pretty high for allergens, but if they can grow up here beside highways and get sprayed with salt half the year, they should do well in NS.

They grow fairly quickly and turn awesome shades of red come fall.

I knew it would be worth taking another look at this thread when I saw what I used to think was a weird vagina that I finally see is a mouse.

The best bush is rocks. :(

+1. Landscape fabric + river rocks. No more mowing. Plant a bush if you have to. Any weeds either pull out easily or just spray them with Round Up or the vegetation killer of your choice. Done.
