Edward
Nelson Dunn at http://www.nelsondunn.com/ made up a complete set of lines for my bike. Cost was very reasonable. The only problem was that I had to send them my old lines.
MacBirdXX
I decided to just take a hammer and put a couple of half gallon dents in the fuel tank -10 on the 'bling factor' for that mod.
MiDNiTXX
I can give you a weight soon, my de-linking kit should be here this week.
SwampNut
I just weighed myself before and after. Gave birth to a nice 2.7 pound baby brown boneless trout. Easier and much faster than a brake kit.
RodeRash
I decided to just take a hammer and put a couple of half gallon dents in the fuel tank to save weight.  I had these same thoughts, but I decided to drill a pattern of holes in my tank. It's a little messy at times, but it saved over 24 pounds. The damn low fuel light is ALWAYS on. I'm thinking about disconnecting it to see if this will lower the drag on the alternator, and give me another .003 HP.
SwampNut
It's just like the SR-71 then. Leaks when stopped, but if you get enough speed the heat from air friction will expand the metal and it seals up.
RodeRash
Almost.....With the SR71, you sit in front of the fuel tank, so it doesn't spill in your crotch before you get up to speed.

MacBirdXX
I can give you a weight soon, my de-linking kit should be here this week. and specify what kit you bought evo II or III? I don't have the de-linking kit, so can't help with 321 ignition's claims.

MacBirdXX
so... weighed what came off the bike to replace my brake lines with the Speigler set. Total weight is 4.9 pounds (3 lbs is looking optimistic...so my excuse is that there was oil in the lines). Can anyone with a Speigler set of 9 lines that's not on their bike give it a weigh please.
bar10dah
shit, how do you make the 'fuck off' emoticon? Will this do?
Redbird
3 lbs is looking optimistic... That sounds oddly familiar :poke:  On a serious note- what exactly did you replace? Reason I ask is I have the entire system (including secondary master cylinder and proportioning valve, which are prusumably still on your bike) weighing in at 3lbs, 15oz. Anyone aware of differences in the system year to year? This is odd :???:
Motobeagle
Since I took the time and read this peice o crap of a thread, I was wondering if someone would come over and do me a favor KILL ME Freaks
Redbird
On my way........
Motobeagle
Before you do. Check your tire pressure. I find 23.567854psi grips much better in 2-4 inches of snow, but in the drifts, you may want to stop and drop pressure 1.5432psi. Also have you checked the foam density in your gloves? OH and don't forget the return trip/weight with that 3.5 ounces of man goo I'm gonna leave in your ass after I hand it to you. Luv ya.
Redbird
3.5 ounces of man goo Sounds like more optimism to me- or have you been saving it in the fridge again?
MacBirdXX
Will this do? very nice!!!!! but this is adding to the severly poor quality of this thread as the guy trying to kill his dog with nitrous has pointed out. Will somebody weigh their spiegler brake kit (9 lines) and kill this thread.

Thomas
Just installed entire brake line kit from Speigler. All nine lines and clutch line. Excellent quality & fit. Blue fittings, clear lines. Clutch line was about $125.00 Can. Brakelines cost about $700.00. I also live in Canada.
MacBirdXX
did you happen to weigh the kit before you installed it? Inqiring minds want to know.
