I can think of two easy DIY bolt-on extensions that won't require modding the trailer. A straight square tube from the front of the frame extending under the coupler as far as needed, or a T attached to the V section of the tongue and extending forward past the coupler. The front part of either could be attached to the existing coupler by installing a ball on it, the rear could be U-bolted or through bolted with nuts. superhawk996
I would use only the finest Chinesium tubing stated as being super strong. 2" square tubing should be enough, but they sell couplers for 3" so I might go the overkill route just to feel good about it. SwampNut
So I think will order that ramp/extender, and go from there. Doesn't seem like I would be wrong with that, and if I want the carrier later, not a big loss and likely still useful.

SwampNut
No, totally generic. They come in a wide single model and a narrow dual. Pretty sure for a motorcycle I want the wide single. With the low truck height, I might be able to deal with it without a second ramp. But if not, an ultra cheap small ramp will be the answer. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GM859O6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=
IcePrick
There's currently an ongoing hailstorm outside here, but once it's over, let me go down to the shed and get the one I have out. I'll measure it and snap a couple pics. Maybe give it a try first? It's a pretty good one, don't remember the brand though.
SwampNut
Good idea. And fucking hail, in late April. What the actual fuck. I wonder if people are still saying that this is normal weather for the last year.
IcePrick
I wouldn't say it's ABnormal here... hoping for some rain in May.
