  1. If you are interested in this bike, give me a call: 864-3fourfour-3407 South Carolina
  2. 20k Completely Stock Always Garaged Never Wrecked No Burn Outs No Hooliganism Mature Rider Meticulously Maintained Fresh Tires See Attachments 4k or best offer
  3. I'm using the comparable Pure One. It is a little longer than stock, but fits fine otherwise!
  4. They actually just tested this on Mythbusters. It actually made the car get WORSE gas mileage and less power!
  5. DO you squeeze the loobman while you ride?
  6. Forget his name, but there is a great guy in Mountlake Terrace. I would recommend Gevasi's in Everett: http://www.gervasismotorsports.com/ I wouldn't call their rates reasonable, but I would trust them with my bike, uhhh... if I had to. They are in a new shop now and Rick has a very good reputation. They do charge about what other shop's do but are very fair on hour estimates. I had them adjust the valves on my Interceptor and it cost $370. Flushing fluids isn't difficult, and changing a chain just takes the right tools. If you use a rivet link chain, you will need a rivet link tool.
  7. This diet rocks. I'm pulling up jeans 4 inches smaller at the waist!
  8. For years my blood pressure has been "borderline," what doctors now call pre-hypertension. This is 130-140 over 80-90. More than 140/90 is Stage I hypertension. I am only in my second week of induction, and was very surprised at my new BP readings. My systolic, the big number, has dropped more than 10 points. My diastolic has dropped nearly as much. I am now normotensive!!! This diet works wonders! I just found that Dr. Eades (Protein Power) talks about this effect. Supposedly, insulin causes your kidneys to retain too much salt, which means too much fluid, which means high blood pressure. What has your BP done?
  9. I recommend getting the book to start with. It is called The South Beach Diet and is written by a cardiologist. The focus is on a low carb diet that is heart healthy. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/157...9823555-0093459 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/157...9823555-0093459
  10. Green tea is better than some others. I wouldn't say TONS. Drink (12 oz unless specified) /Caffeine in mg Drip Coffee (8 oz.) 115-175 Red Bull 80 Jolt 71.2 Mountain Dew 55 Diet Coke 45.6 Tea Brewed (US ave in 8 oz) 40 Pepsi 37.5 Coke 34 Tea, Green (8oz) 15
  11. I prefer the Mealworm Fried Rice. http://www.ent.iastate.edu/misc/insectsasf.../friedrice.html I had a prof in college who promoted insect recipes. He served us cookies made from a special flour. The "flour"' is made from blended, dried honey bees. People didn't think anything of it, and he couldn't get a rise out of the students. So he started laying some wings and legs on the top. That did it!
  12. I've found a GREAT diet and nutrition program. You enter in your foods and it breaks it down into carbs, fat, protein, all the nutrients, graphs, etc. It does SO much more, and is the best software of its kind I've ever found. Check it out at http://www.dietpower.com/welcome.htm Let me know if you think you will get the program.
  13. Carlos, Do you always use Stevia instead of Splenda or NutraSweet?
  14. Hi all, this is only my second post on this forum, but glad you are here. I have been reading the South Beach Diet. It looks very similar to Atkins, but allows more GOOD carbs and encourages less saturated fat. It was written by a cardiologist and a nutritionist. Has anyone tried this plan? I did Atkins before, lost 10 pounds, but then leveled out. I regained immediately after quitting. Should I try the low carb thing again? I just don't know if I have the motivation..
  15. I was disappointed in what I got for the price at Subway. I recently found out that Safeway has some great wraps. You will see their big sandwich display, but you can get it in a low carb wrap. I tried the Tuscan Chicken today and was quite satisfied afterwards. They even let me substitute a piece of fruit and water for chips and pop in the one-dollar more meal.
  16. Okay, I think we all know that Nik is just TORQUING on that key way to HARD! Yeah, I had ignition problems, like when the bastard used a SLIDE HAMMER!!!! on it. Then it started just fine for him, with just a screwdriver! Ohhh, and fork lock is useless after this treatment!
  17. Don't know, but I would just ask. Find a good shop with a painter that actually can match paint by sight, not just mix up recipes. Bring it in preped and ask him/her to shoot it. Shouldn't be as much as a new one.
  18. This time I mean it, I am seriously ROFL!!! My Bird has never shifted smoother.. now running the Mobil 1 15-50!

    tyres again

So I have a BT-57 on the front, OEM. Do you think I'll have any problems running a Bridgestone 020 on the rear?
  20. In my ST I've been running straight vegetable oil for 8 years now. It has 250000 on it and running strong. I prefer Wesson.
  21. I wanted to let you all know about a nice shop I found for getting work done, both repairs, maintenance, and mods. I live in Mountlake Terrace, so I was glad to see that George Dean's Seattle Cycle Service has moved here. I was able to get a tire mounted on a Saturday, with NO WAIT, and for only 20 bucks, including balancing. I believe the shop says something about the owner. The shop is immaculate with all the tools in their spots, cycle stands, a dyno in the back, and an epoxy floor clean enough to eat off! He has really reasonable rates and can help you mod out your bike or just repair it. Stop by and check it out: http://www.soundrider.com/dealers/scs/

    GPS mount

I bought their cradle, specific for the Garmin, from GPScity.com. I also got a u-bolt that goes on the bar clip and a suction cup to take it in the car. I'll send pics on email if you want.
  23. Hey, guess what?! High octane fuel is actually LESS explosive, less volatile, has less FLASH if you know what I mean. It is designed to not detonate when used in a compression engine. The high compression may give you more power! It DOES NOT MEAN it will necessarily give more power to your old biatch of a bike!
