  1. There's a sucker born every minute, but I think finding one old enough to appreciate a fresh XX is going to be hard. I mean, it's hard to get this old while being that stupid right?
  2. Shit, those are probably just holding the fenders on, I hadn't noticed that the ends of the fenders are in open air. Eye bolt it.
  3. If it were my trailer I wouldn't hesitate to do it...but maybe not with some crap ass Chinesium Harbor Freight eye bolt. What's actually bolted on there? With every trailer I've seen the only thing that gets bolted there is the brakes, but I assume that doesn't have brakes. I've never seen a trailer with a bolted on hub assembly, the wheel bearings are always directly on the axle. If you're not sure post a better photo of it.
  4. A 'buffer' will prevent metal on metal contact, but the buffer is likely to end up rubbing on the drive. Move the bottom of the strap outward. You can replace one of the hub bolts with an eye bolt, or wrap around the vertical part of the axle.
  5. I can't tell you how many times someone has bought something for their car that's supposed to fit because "they said it would online."
  6. Diesel prices are insane, they're probably waiting to figure out what else they can fit onto the truck to combine shipping.
  7. You might be able to break it by hammering the wrench, less chance of marring up the ring, but I've used a punch many times. In fact, I don't know that I've ever used two wrenches.
  8. The proper way to beg for them is to offer to pick them up you tight ass Jew. I'll take a couple USB-A, we're not into the C fad. Whatever's left when I get there is fine.
  9. Cute, but can we get back to the bondage girl in the '80s outfit? That's way more fun.
  10. Did he use human rated straps? It's normally that guy's job to say it, but I gotta jump in; that ain't goin nowhere!
  11. Every strap is too long, or too short, or too whatever if you choose poorly and/or can't figure out how to make it work. BTW, you can get straps custom made for about the same or less cost than other good quality straps. This is where I got mine, but there are other companies that do it. https://www.cargoequipmentcorp.com/build-your-own-tie-down-strap If you want an option that you don't see in the menu a phone call can probably solve it. I wanted no lettering showing so they built them 'backwards' to hide it. Jezzus. I've got dozens of straps and I'm pretty sure I don't have a single one that's rated for a specific purpose, yet they all seem to work for every purpose I've used them for.
  12. I can't imagine owning a dedicated trailer for my only bike and dealing with it not having tie down points in the right places.
  13. It clearly wasn't done properly or the strap would't be destroyed. Any normal person would look at that and realize that something was done wrong, even if he thought it was right at the moment of strapping down. I've driven several thousand miles with strapped stuff and have made some mistakes, but when I saw the evidence I corrected my mistakes rather than assert that I did it right.
  14. Mine recently started sticking, but only after using it. It's possible that it could apply without using it if enough heat builds to start creating pressure in the system.
  15. How not to strap a bike: However Zero does it.
  16. Similar to wet cement. It's water based, I'm sure you could add some, but no clue if thinning would mess it up.
  17. Every once in a while I look on Craigslist for a cheap pre-smog (1975 and older) car to do a project build on. Something lightweight I can put a decent engine in to have a fun toy. For power I've considered using an old V-6 2 smoke outboard, sorta retarded, but it would sound super cool and be a compact motor with a good power/weight ratio.
  18. I fucked up and didn't post the photo .
  19. $30/gallon on Amazon, but there were similar cheaper ones. It's solvent free, many of them are. I chose this particular one because lots of people recommended it for my use. They're applied with a notched trowel and the instructions show how much coverage area different notch sizes are supposed to give.
  20. I thought about posting this, then forgot. In a conversation with Mikesail last night, while talking about a goofy plumbing problem at his dad's house, I told him about it and tried my best to describe how it works.
  21. I wonder how much sugar is actually left after fermenting and distilling. Oh wait, I have a device right here that can ask the google, turns out that it's 0. Rum is sugar free. And fat free. And carb free. And has no preservatives. It's one of the cleanest things you can get from a grocery store shelf these days.
  22. I wasn't completely accurate. Rum and 'home made' caffein free diet cola using Soda Stream flavoring syrup.
