  1. Internet wisdom says to charge Lithium batteries with a specific charger, how is that different than the charging system of the vehicle? Is a battery tender needed for long storage?

  4. 99 in the the garage as always, no problems at all, with anything. 60k I think. Not even a second thought about riding over the beartooth. Wish I could say the same about the beemers One of the reasons I bought the Africa Twin.
  5. The best yet! I started lifting potato bags First a 1lb bag held in each outstretched hand, straight out to the sides. Held for 1 min. Then I moved up to a 5 lb bag Then a 10 lb bag Now I'm at a 25 lb bag held straight out for 1 min. Next I'll start with a potato in each bag
  6. Is there a business selling collected e-mail addresses and phone numbers? I wonder because I get so many random phone calls all selling something. Wondering how they got my number

    Fuel mileage

I didn't check, but I filled in Apache Junction, went thru Globe and back to Tucson and I still have fuel. The GS gets 45 - 55 depending. Tortilla Flat, The bar, the food, driving thru a creek to get out of town, the canadian tourists not so much. The bar just to see.

    chain lift device

Tapping the collective genius here. I need to move some large rock. Years ago I bought tons of rock for a mansion. The man I bought it from had a way of picking up large pieces ( 1/2 ton+ ) with a chain apparatus. He would throw the chain over a rock and hook on to it anywhere and lifting the chain would tighten it round the rock and hold it secure. Setting it would allow the chain to go slack. As I recall the chain had rings that allowed the chain to slide thru and I believe it had three sides or lengths. He is long since gone so I can't ask him. Any ideas?
  11. I was able to install mine in the bottom of the mirror
  12. I installed one in the right mirror. Bought 4 from china, not expensive, as I remember someone here recommended them.
  13. There are two ways to do things, right and over.

  14. If I still had a shop I'd have this one. Maybe get one for garage storage? http://abbastandsusa.com/product-detail.asp?item=sky-lift&pid=44
  15. Tie a 2 - 3 foot thin rope to the center of a straight bar with a small weight in the end, don't need much. Load the bar with as much weight as is comfortable holding straight out. Now the fun part. Wind the rope up the bar then unwind.
  16. Nice I usually use two weights and spread them as far as needed to get a balance.
  17. +1 on the Behr products, not very good. Sherwin williams has good products. Paint is not the best for decks, solid bodied stain will work better. Oil based is better than water, if you can get it. Messmers is my favorite.
