  1. Clinch your asshole real tight and take a reading. If it's under .005, you can cut washers/shims from it and replace your muffler bearings.
  2. Joe, do you need the socket or the adapter that goes inbetween the bulb and the electrical plug. Dave is right, Ron Ayers has the adapter for 6 and some change. I've never toasted anything but the adapter, not the electrical socket.
  3. I thought that it was for checking the clearance in your asshole when it clenches shut riding a stock suspended XX thru the twisties. Damn, it seems like I learn something every day on this forum.

    slip-ons

    ONE WORD...........M I G S.
  5. First of all Dave, how do you know that a sixteen year old has a tight snatch??? Maybe I don't really want to know. Secondly, if Redbird is right about it being able to spin freely up you ass, I thinking that maybe I should bring the video camera to the Hoot, as well as the digital camera. Streaming video........yeah, that's the ticket. :bigpuke:
  6. First of all, nice job on the write up and report with pics. I've been using the Cheetah SST for a couple of years now and really like the way that it looks, although I seem to have some wind turbulence that causes an oscillation sometimes. It doesn't happen all the time, so it's got me baffled as to the source of it, as it comes and goes. I can be riding along at a relaxed pace (say 65 70 MPH) and all of a sudden out of nowhere, an oscillation sets up causing my helmet to be pushed side to side, back and forth. I don't know if it is the SST or if something else is going on. But....I digress. It's a great looking windscreen and basically I'm happy with mine.
  7. Take that Fuckin' hugger off of your bike and save the tires. You'v got waaaaaaayyyy too much stuff on you bike anyway. Nuttin but love brotha
  8. The one on the left, if it's a choice between the two. It seems like that I remember measuring that hole last fall/winter, when I was thinking about using that hole for my GPS mount. Somewhere are 1/2" to maybe 17/32".
  9. Damn man, you've been lurking for like two years and you just now post  How could you possibly not introduce yourself, jump into some of our more interesting argum.......discussions, and then flame someone for not agreeing with you. Man, you have some will power. I would say welcome to the forum, but if I do, and you respond, that will be like 4 posts in one or two days
  10. Absolutely NOT! The back-pressure created when the can is on is what helps hold the exhaust valves in place. Without that back-pressure, the exhast valves (both of them) from each un-protected cylinder could be shot out of the end of the pipe with such velocity that it could sail through a neighbors window or something. You'll be OK if you live out in the country though, unless you are standing behind the bike when you start it. ..........J/K
  11. Carlos, Nice Theory!.....with one exception. What about Raddragon (sp).
  12. I've just recently installed the EBC HH's on both the front and rear. OMG...the stopping power. I'm going to have to re-learn how to brake. I do a lot of two up riding and that extra level of comfort is certainly there now, as far as stopping power. I changed mine at 15k miles and the right front and rear didn't really need to be replaced. The left front was another story though.
  13. What Joe said! I've had mine raised for 1 1/2 years and love it!
  14. The problem with that, would be the shipping, unless we all ordered at the same time and they were will to ship to 10 different locations. Guess it would be worth a try though. BTW, I just put on a set (45/46) last week.
  15. In addition to the good advice so far, one other thing that you need to know. The left front brake assembly and master DOES NOT need to be removed in order to get the front wheel off. I just had my wheels off last week for new tires and brakes and the front will come off just fine with only the right side brake caliper removed.
  16. I don't think so Don, but they got a pretty good display of WD-40 multi-purpose lubricant, cleaner, marital aid, cooking oil, chicken marinade, and sometimes, Dave's favorite mouthwash!!!
  17. Not sure if this pic will post but here is what I did with my trailer. The uprights are 1 1/4" square tubing and are bolted to the trailer both at the bottom of the tubing and at the railing. I used stainless steel bolts and eyebolts. Soft straps go on the bike and then I use a regular Ancra tie down.
  18. I paid approx. $240 for both tires, including the shipping cost. $32 for old tire removal and new tire mounting (including a disposal fee for the old tires) $15 for spin balancing both tires and wheels. I took the wheels off of the bike and put them back on, didn't take the bike in to a shop. Total cost was approx: $287.......and about a half a day of my time.

    Micron's

If it's MIG support you want, here it is. I get more compliments on my MIGs than any other single modification that I've done. Looks wise, they can't be beat (IMHO), although I really do like Randy's Renegades too. The sound is just unbelievable and sometimes I still go out to the garage and start it up (when it's raining and I can't ride), just to hear that sweeeeeeettttt sound of exhaust note.
  20. I've got a Pyramid too, and got it from Jaws. Great fit and finish and fits with the Avon 36 and now the Avon 46
  21. I installed mine exactly like Carlos did, both the throttle lock and the grips, I just don't have pics like he does.
  22. Having just changed mine about an hour ago, I experience the same uneven wear issue that Warchild and others have noted. I had 15K miles on mine and probably could have easily gone 20K miles, with the exception of the left outer that he has pictured. I really didn't want to have to mess with changing brake pads in the middle of the riding season so I did them now. Oh BTW, EBC HH's front and rear.
  23. At my advanced age, a sneeze is almost as good as a piece of ass, so what I do is go for a bike ride during the allergy season, sneeze my ass off and come home satisfied!!! J/K of course
  24. I'm a ditto to flyv65. I've got a worn out set of 35/36's on my bike now and a new set or 45/46's in the garage waiting to go on. Pyramid hugger is on and no problems with the 35/36 combo.
  25. I shortened the stalks originally, while I still had the Two Bros. pipes, then after I installed the MIGs, I had to do something because the MIGs came up right where the original signals were. Off they came and I ended up with the www.lifebrite.com signals (LB300) LED turn signals
