  1. Yes it's way to big for that bike, unfortunate.

  2. It's 15 miles as the crow flies from my house.. Looks like a trip to Monticello... I'll be checking the smell for weed though... as he's smoking something to think that price is even close to realistic.
  3. Try to get the part number from the dealership and call Ron Ayers. Even with freight it may be cheaper, and faster.
  4. Now that I've found the listing for an F4I 600 and not a VFR, here's the listing I see. 2001-2002 IMR9A-9H STOCK NUMBER 6966, AND 2003 LISTING IMR9C-9H STOCK NUMBER 6777. Hope this helps
  5. This listing is all plugs fitting the dimensions of the plugs you paid big bucks for...You can put any of these plugs in your bike, but as mentioned you have to be careful if your putting in plugs not listed for. But upon closer inspection of the 2002-2003 VFR-800-FI, The plug listed in the book is a IMR9D-9H, with a footnote showing it has a solid terminal nut. For what that's worth. Remember again the D is just some sort of firing end design.
  6. The A and H after the nine is Ngks designation for the firing end construction, by the book the A is slightly hotter than the H. And there are 3 other plugs in that style all progressivly hotter. The section of the catalog reads as follows. With the hotter plug listed at the top! CR8EHIX-9 STOCK NUMBER 3797 CR9EHIX-9 STOCK NUMBER 6216 CR9EHI-9 STOCK NUMBER 6419 IMR9A-9H STOCK NUMBER 6966 IMR9C-9H STOCK NUMBER 6777 BUT JUST BE CAREFUL!!!! You might want to go to your local NAPA auto parts store and check out the first 30 or so pages of the 2003 NGK catalog.
  7. Drove up to Duluth MN a few years ago and bought the full suit, and I just love it. Hot, cold, pounding rain and even a little snow doesn't bother me a bit with this on. If you can get up there, they give a 10 percent discount, and they have a mock cycle to sit on while they fit you. The only problem is now that I'm on my butt at work. the darned suit is getting a little tighter, but I can also send back up to Aerostich and I believe they will take it out a bit. Or tell me to lose weight.
  8. Thanks guys, I think I'll order some Avons this afternoon. They sound like the hands down winner.
  9. Maxx...I bought the bike with 11,000. It now has 14000 tires could possibly be original. So I guess my question is answered, but do you think I should put the originals on it (Michelin battlax).
  10. First, two occurances of note. I replace my brake pads over the weekend, a 15 min job. Noticed that the left front inner pad was worn almost to metal. The rest were down to around a couple of milimeters. Also, 2 weeks ago the biked tipped over from the centerstand. But I hadn't noticed any control problems after that. The problem occured at around 45mph, I took my hands off the bars to straighten my gloves and the shake began. Pretty violent, but I grabbed the bars and held them steady. The shake dissapeared. Got it to happen once more at about 25mph right after that, but couldn't make it do it again. What's up with that? As I looked thru the previous messages, could my new Corbin hard bags really have that much affect...
  11. The cam tensioner slap is really just a pain the the ass..... Where can I find an elusive X-11 tensioner... and does the (As Ron Ayers calls it) lifter set need to be replaced at the same time... :???:
  12. Being a new bird owner...Will my 2000 Fuel injected bike adjust the fuel mixture on it's own after installing a K and N filter?
