  1. I'm not sure if these folks are still around but I got my bag here. If not there are places in the UK where you might be able to get them from. The US dealer is: CIMA INTERNATIONAL 399 Wall Street GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL 60139 Phone 630.671.9710 Fax 630.671.9701 E-mail helmets@aol.com Took about 3 weeks to get it. I have the tank cover with the tank bag so if you have any questions about it let me know. I'm not selling mine. I use it and like it.
  2. I know that you mentioned that you are looking for a FI model but there is a nice carb low miles one listed on the other site in Austin. http://www.cbrxx.com/bikes-for-sale/17550-...-6000-00-a.html
  3. Well maybe you can contact the high bidder and negotiate. Heck maybe they will contact you. I'm thinking if you put it back on in a month or so when the weather starts to get better it will get a better price.
  4. The ebay auction is getting closer to your price and you have 20 bidders. I would expect to see some last minute bidding on it as it the case with ebay auctions. Good Luck
  5. Yes winter here in Chicagoland although we've been somewhat lucky. I've gotten a few rides in this month. Rare for these parts.
  6. I think they are kind of specialty item. Some folks really like them. They will move when more people see them. I like them. I think they look great on the bike.
  7. Nice bike. Good luck with the sale.
  8. I agree. I haven't done either conversion myself but have read one of the how to's. I seem to recall that when going from analog to digital that you also had to solder in a resistor. I think it had to do with getting an accurate reading out of the Temp or Speed but don't recall for sure.
  9. I think Jaws carrys them http://www.jaws-motorcycles.com/
  10. Nice looking bike. Good luck with the sale.
  11. Agree on the avatar pics. Never met him but if his name is Scott he's already cool. I've been thinking of the gerbings gear.... Nice web site too.
  12. I used to have a V65 Sabre myself. I had the faring on my bike. Great bike. Good luck with the sale.
  13. I've got the VFR bars on my bike. I like them. They look stock on the bike. The only mod needed is cutting the tabs on the master cylinder to allow the brake and clutch lines to rotat a bit.
  14. I used to have an 88 cbr1000F in that same black and red color scheme. It was mint until some girl cager ran the light on me and took it out. Too bad. Still have a corbin seat for it that wasn't on it when it got wrecked. That was a great bike. Good thing I already had the XX when the F got taken out. At least I had something to ride to soften the loss.
  15. This looks like a nice bike. Good luck with the sale. If you are tired of street riding then a connie or wing probably won't change that. Most here already know my views on the wing. I've had one and never will again. If you are thinking along those lines my suggestion is to go all the way and get the convertible. It has a lot of advantages over the wing. The wing does one thing well. Slabbing long distance miles. Its good at that. A convertible is better at that.
  16. THe stock windscreen changed but I can't remember what year. I believe they will fit all model years as I believe the mounting points remained the same. The change was that on the newer model years (don't remember what year) the windscreen became a bit more arched. A bit more like some of the double bubble screens.

    Ebay Mirrors

I haven't seen those before. I have seen these http://www.moto-works.jp/bikes/97cbr1100xx.html
  18. As far as I know the 1125 series has always used the Rotax engines and this article seems to indicate the same. I agree I can't see why he would ever want to use a harley engine in any of his bikes going forward. The 1125 seems to get good reviews if you can live with the heat.
  19. Not a fan of the Rotax engine? A punched out Rotax engine? From what I have read about them they seem pretty good. You may need a NASA approved heat shield to ride the bike though.
  20. I had a 88 Hurricane. Loved it. Then got an 99 XX. Better still. Much better. My favorite bike so far. Recently added a 96 CBR1000F. The missing link. I say go for it. You only live once. I like your idea of the anniversery gift. That is if your wife is into motorcycles.
