Seems like you know someting about this. How much does crashed toys add? Since its a recovered theft I'm thinking that it wouldn't have a salvage title. So what is involved in getting the title fixed through the DMV. My brother bought a recovered auto theft once and he just had to get it retitiled. Normal retitling cost. He purchased it directly from an auction. They included paperwork with the sale. It included something from the insurance company indicating that it was a recovered theft item. That was years ago though. 2001 HONDA CBR 1100XX 1137 CC [?] VIN: JH2SC35071M400147 Odometer: 28,866 MILES - ACTUAL Title: IN - SALVAGE CERTIFICATE Look at the title status. All states have different laws. Here in Wisconsin you need to take before and after pics as well take the bike to a police station and pay $350 to have it state inspected which will get you a rebuilt/salvage title which will also hurt the value even if it was only a theft. Crashed toys requires you to pay a fee to register plus there is a fee for the auction plus you will have the cost of shipping. And I also remember a cost for some broker to handle the transaction but that may have changed. Most of these auctions are insurance auctions with other dealers bidding against you. Things may have changed however since ive looked into buying a bike for the track so look into this before you just give up on it if its something you really want Thanks. No I'm not interested although this does look like a nice bike. I think if someone was thinking of buying it with the idea of keeping it forever the hurt value of the salvage title wouldn't be too much of an issue. I was just wondering what the costs were since I've seen bikes on there before that looked like good deals. I figured that there would be some fees. I just didn't know how much it adds to the cost.

The first link is TITS that's a very very nice CBR1000F for sure no arguing that. I have ridden these and must say they are solid and fast so to speak, Is it as comfortable as my modded XX , no way but it can be made to be:) That first one is a nice bike. I have the same corbin in all black for my 96 CBR1000F. Less miles on my 96 too. What have you done to your XX to make it more comfy than the CBR1000F?

CCT must be mostley a US problem This is my third XX, and no problem. And I'm not deaf I don't believe that it is only a US problem. As far as I know there are no differences in the CCT's. I see mentions of it throughout the world.

The XX is a great bike. The BLACK ones are the fastest and also the best looking although this is a bike that looks great in all colors. I like the FI models myself. The bike is pretty reliable. CCT's are probably the most common failure but easily resolved. R&R and stators are probably next. I say look for a real clean BLACK one and you should be all set.

The VFR bars look just like the stock XX bars. They are just higher than the stock XX bars. They add about 3/4 - 1 " in height. They are angled a little better as well. The heli bars that I have seen offer about the same amount of rise. I think the VFR bars look better myself due to the stock look. You need 2002 or later VFR bars. You do not need to change out the clutch or brake lines for the VFR bars. You do have to cut off one of the tabs on the master cylinders This allows the clutch and brake lines to rotate to a better position.

Looks nice. I always liked the color scheme. It has some sort of header on it. Might want to get a pic of the other side so folks can see the pipe. Looks like it has risers on the bars or maybe the previous owner moved things around on the fork tubes. My 96 has linked brakes but as I recall the 93 did not. I'm really happy with my CBR1000F. If anyone would like a seat of the pants review and comparison of this bike compared to the XX I'd be happy to provide my perspective. Seems like it would be a real nice bike for someone. I've got a 96. Great bike. Bit more upright than the XX. Comfy. Smooth. I also owned an older 88 CBR1000F as well. Good luck with the sale.
