  1. So are these still available or what? If either set is straight and in good shape I want a set. PM me. Thanks, John
  2. John, while I don't have the shim stack info for you, I'd advise you to find out about reshimming the rebound side at the same time. You could give Rick a call at Cogent or GP Suspension. They've done a good number of BB front ends too. Glad ya like the shock! Hank Hank, Thanks for the heads up on the rebound. I may give Rick a call if need be. I just dont want to interrupt their work day. I know its hard to get everything done when you own a small business..... I had seen that Dudedain(sp?) and a couple others had some insight to making them work well. But it looks like he hasnt posted in awhile. Anyone else feel free to chime in. I will do some more searching.
  3. I was hoping to pick the minds of the knowlagable. Awhile back when we did the Penske shock group buy I also picked up a set of the longer fork springs from Rick. Shock is awesome and the springs are still in the box. This winter I bought a new set of Gold valves and preload adjusters and I am getting ready to tear into the front end. I know the Racetech website gives baselines on the shim stack, but during some searching here I had seen some of you did or know how to make them tits the first go'round. If anyone can help me with some setup and fork tricks that would be great. 2oo lbs, ride 2up loaded 10-15 % of the time. I want it to soak up the shitty cali potholes but be decent at speed. Post up or P.M. me. Thanks in advance! John
  4. Didn't Dave tell you not to sell to the mods? No prob. Skull if the gloves dont fit, let me know if you want to sell em. :icon_thumbsup:
  5. I put minr under the seat like you did, except I took a piece of inner tube from a dirt bike (2.50/3.00) dia. and it fit perfect inside. Just to protect it.
  6. Hey Hank! I was just going to tell you there is a triple clamp on ebay right now. Also if anyone needs a '03 ignition module, there is a local guy that has one for sale for a 100.00.Hank, did you get the Bandit carb issue resolved? John
  7. Saw one on san francisco craigslist for 3100.00.A little rough though.
  8. Very possible your linkage under swingarm where the shock is mounted needs to be taken apart, cleaned and lubed up.When it is disconnected, move swingarm up and down and it should be smooth and not stick. If it does you need to pull swingarm off and clean and lube pivot points. They get gummed up and do not let the rear end moveup and down. John
  9. Mike, When you make up some connector kits I would like to get one from you.Not having any problems yet but if and when i do i will go w/an R1 setup. Thanks in advance, John
  10. Any padding or armour in womens 34 pant? Also interested in womens gloves if you still have. John
  11. Bad coil? or connection.I think 2 and 3 are together.
  12. Hey Al (toynut), Just wondering about the perforated jackets. Are you saying that I can't order it in the standard version, or just in custom vers.? I may go with non perf. but just want to clarify.Still deciding on womans jacket also. Thanks again, john P.S. Come'on guys where are the orders?! Don't see to many.
  13. Thanks for the knowlage rockme and john.Back my basic deliema is the stands versus performace. Will it help at all with 3-4 mm in shock even if i dont change forks?I want my side stand even though i mainly use center. What is your personal opinion? Thanks again, John
  14. Thanks for the info guys!Just thought I'd hit up the pros here! It's been awhile since i rode a big bore on the street and don't quite have the confidence that I once had to push it.Just need a little more seat time!Raising a family will do that to ya!So the better i can get my set-up out of the box the better off I am.Think I will try the 3 in rear and - some in front. Thanks again, John
  15. So is a little better than none?Or should I try a little of both? Just did not want any weird handling traits. Thanks, john
  16. It actually fit very well without being too constrictive. I am about a size 4-6 at 5'5'' and 128 lbs. and I imagine this would go as far as a size 8-10. The only drawbacks were the lack of a zipper in the back (to zip to pants), (which I believe was brought up earlier in the thread (?)) and the lack of a good back pad. It's got lots of ventilation, which I absolutely love. It's just a great jacket IMO all the way around. What size is the one your wearing?
  17. Looking for a little input here.Thinking about shimming the shock,But just want to know if you add a little more (3-4mm) is it still better than stock?Or do you need to go to 6mm?The reason i'm asking is in some pics i see of bikes there are blocks of wood/shims under sidestand.Just would like to use both stands without the hassle,I would give up a little performance.Or is anyone having that problem?Maybe the bikes i saw were higher than that. Thanks, john
  18. Hi angee, Just wondering if you could let us know if the jacket fit you right for your size,or what would your recomendation be fit wise. Thanks, john
  19. I thought we could still order the std. version in perf.?Maybe i misunderstood. Thanks for the quick response. John
  20. I will see what womens jacket looks like in pics from angee, maybe get one for mama! john P.S. The perforated jacket does come w/liner, right?
