  1. I don't see RightStuff a lot on the shelves in my area but PERMATEX® ULTRA BLACK® RTV SILICONE GASKET MAKER is which I use all the time just in case he can't find your stuff.
  2. Like Super said earlier, put both tires in the air, spin forward. Do both tires spin forward or does one spin backwards?
  3. Not me, it works as it should.
  4. This is kind of tripping me up. Pickup: Free local pickup from Boise, Idaho, United States. See detailsfor pickup Shipping: See item description for shipping details Located in: Boise, Idaho, United States We do not own this vehicle, vehicle is not located in boise.
  5. I just replaced the power steering fluid in one of my vehicles a couple of months ago. Most but not all automatic transmissions haven't had a drain plug on them through the years and yet many manufacturers stated that the fluid needed changed. Double sigh.
  6. Do you really believe that gears meshing together for 25 years, 216,000 miles wouldn't benefit from a fluid change? Why even ask about it if you wasn't going to do it to begin with?
  7. I sure hope it isn't rusty underneath because $21 K for a 6 cylinder car seems a little steep to me but I guess every day finds like this are getting rarer.
  8. You would get more looks at stuff like this in the garage section but yes, I would replace the fluid. It really isn't very hard to do. Just remove the rear end cover, clean the gasket area, either put new gasket on or use gasket maker and replace cover. Put a piece of 3/8" rubber hose on the bottle of the lube and fill until it starts to run out of the hole. Your owners manual should tell you what lube to use.
  9. Do you know how the tool works? Thanks for the tip.
  10. Any roofing guy who wanted to pick up a few bucks on a weekend could handle the swap with ease.
  11. I would call the dealer and speak to the service manager. Ask if this is a common thing and is there something you could do or possibly talk to a mechanic. They might just say to bring it in or maybe give you helpful info.
  12. Are you sure the spring hangers were not changed? They are black in your photo with everything else being brown.
  13. It's working, don't have to re-log in now.
  14. Yes, multiple browsers and my android phone. I wasn't on between 6 am and 2 pm, sometime between then I think.
  15. When you can't loosen them, you cut them (in general). On mine, they were riveted to the frame so the heads had to be cut off and then driven out. I replaced both sides on my Ranger, have done far worse jobs. Saying that, I'm sure you made the right decision to have it done.
  16. I also have to sign in each time.
  17. Just a quick tip for a sticking wooden door. Due to the ever changing weather here lately, the front door was sticking in one area. I was going through the door and had a can of Honda spray polish in my hand when the light bulb went off. The door opens as slick as snot on a knob now.
  18. I have never bought new and haven't lost my rear yet? 😃 Torque to yield bolts? I normally replace the important ones like head bolts but some others, not. Like you said, opinions.
  19. Even though this equipment isn't in my wheelhouse, everyone can appreciate high quality machinery. I bet you smile every time you cut.
  20. I guess you are right but then we don't get to live it through you. 😃
