  1. White coat syndrome is common and nearly everyone gets it. They take this into account. Also, "couldn't" care less. Could care less means you care a lot, could care less.
  2. Oddly worded. They cite "target" range, but not actual? It's super easy to hit 2 grams of sodium without ever even seeing the salt container, as everything we buy is full of it, unless you go out of your way to avoid it. It's been broadly known that you will die if you get too little sodium since it's a critical part of various systems in your body. That's not news. But the number of Americans deficient in sodium would be ridiculously tiny. Hah, I just went to go read the actual article and figure out why your quote sounded very off. Newsmax. LOL
  3. My onboard espresso machine consumes most of the excess power.
  4. Hahahahaha, I get it, matter and anti-matter, no room.
  5. That sorta explains not knowing that Macs don't run iOS. But the Mx Macs can run iOS apps without running iOS.
  6. I hate white turn signals, so I went another route. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NXS9RHB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832674042489.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.173.7ebd18021v2oid&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt&_randl_shipto=US https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251801795989449.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.178.7ebd18021v2oid&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt&_randl_shipto=US https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074RFSFVT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bonus bling: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832727346849.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.168.7ebd18021v2oid&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt&_randl_shipto=US
  7. Always live your whole life around planning for the worst. Sheesh. You could also use wood blocks to simply make it bigger where it needs to be. Stick them on with light glue or double-stick tape.
  8. Jesus H Christ, sugar is the second ingredient. This is why we are all fat and facing heart issues young.
  9. The flavored yogurt made from coconut don't taste like coconut. The totally unflavored one, you might be able to tell. I have a friend who hates coconut with a passion and says he can tell, but I made the mistake of telling him. When I use the coconut stuff in recipes, I make sure they are suitable. IE, as a cream for an Asian/Pacific/Mauritius meal, where coconut is sort of expected anyway. To me, the vanilla coconut is just awesome particularly with a good granola and dried fruits. (Again, check your dried fruits, because motherfuckers coat them with sugar, since it's subsidized and adds basically free weight and calories.)
  10. Someone I've worked with very closely for about 20 years was found unresponsive yesterday around 4am, and taken to the hospital. He was last conscious during the evening before. That's where it stands. There's no prognosis, but no outward sign of life. He's about 45, and ridiculously obese. A few months ago he realized there was a problem and decided to clean up his diet, and I talked to him at length about it. But his idea was to replace one or two meals of absolute trash with some pre-made veggie meals from the store (which are often full of trash too). I recall that at every in-person meeting he had a super-large McD shake or coffee drink (pretty much just sugar and milk), and whatever meal was appropriate for the time of day, from McD. Or an extra meal for a mid-day meeting. He wouldn't tell me, but his meal count seemed to number 6/day. Burger, fries, sugar drink. Nice guy, loved working with him, and I was always up for sharing more of my knowledge and subsequent responsibility/ability with him. But there came a day when his aspirations into IT were thwarted; he could not fit between a row of servers and also bend and lift one at the same time. He made a move from front line worker to department manager, organizer, and process manager. Which was pretty much all knowledge work and all online. (I had made this company fully remote-capable around 2010, and they obviously used it during the cooties, now all offices are shut down.) I hope he pulls out of this and reconsiders life. I hope his girlfriend, who eats exactly the same way, considers her own future. Shit, if they decide to make changes, I'll go there and help.
  11. Also, vanilla-coconut yogurt drops the cow juice problems, and I think it's actually creamier and tastier.
  12. I mean, on a scale of pork rind 0 to broccoli 100, that's probably a 40, but you could do much worse. If you're trying to clean up, I'd look for sugar to be far lower on the list, maybe even replaced by things like date syrup, and fewer processed oils. Sam's and Safeway have a couple of granola options with very little processed sugar, oil, and salt.
  13. That's fucked up. And I suppose the opposite is possible; that I may be getting less and therefore my blood level is dropping.
  14. Our Fry's is your Kroger, in general, but the specific items definitely vary by location. Our area seems to be at the forefront on animal replacement products, I've been surprised at the selection here. But go 30-some miles south to the South Phoenix/Maricopa area, and not so much. Another good sour cream and cheese option is Treeline, who ships, but it's pricey. I've chatted with their president and it's obvious they really care about quality.
  15. Awesome. It's so disheartening to see stuff pitched as a healthy alternative to junk, that has been junkified. "Made with real whole grains!" (And a pound of sugar and fat) I've found that the coconut-based yogurts actually pair up with a lot of things better than cow-based. Not everything, but most.
  16. We don't put it in coffee, so no opinion there. But yeah, what you got was mostly water and the soluble additives. There is a monstrous variation in the quality and flavor of various non-dairy products. Kite Hill seems to be a consistent favorite here. I recently did a back to back test of sour creams, and it won, even over the dairy cream. It was actually more creamy and more tangy. But the Simple Truth supposed sour cream is more like a light cream cheese, and it was ok on a bagel. Nutritional yeast can turn up the cheesy tang plus provide solid nutrition. The Fry's/Kroger house brand fake shredded cheeses would never convince you they are cheese if you just eat them, but on/in something, they are the same as your basic cheap shredded cheese.
  17. Well sure it's good, in most cases granola and yogurt are just sugar and fat, LOL.
  18. I've found zero evidence that your intake directly causes toxicity, only your blood level does. Meaning that one big dose doesn't matter (I mean, maybe not a whole bottle). I have seen studies as high as 30k/day for a short term showing no issues. Please tell me if you have seen otherwise. Most experts, my doctor included, would be concerned if you approached 100 in a blood test, they target 50, and I'm barely over 30. Below 30 is dangerous. If I miss a couple days, I may take 30k once.
  19. I am at insufficient levels. So there's just no risk of toxicity right now. I'm so far from it, I may want to jump to 30k daily or get a shot.
  20. The common estimation is that the resonator removal is mostly for the heat on the shock, 1 HP gain maybe, and sound. I don't like loud, but I also don't like the Jetsons sound that it creates. The cat seems to be most of the restriction, and also the muffler's end cap. Some people just replace the end cap and have shown an increase (with a fuel programmer). Do you think the Coober unit has anything going for it that the others don't? IE, worth paying for? The bike is really rideable, I like the power, and I'm chasing the dragon. Why not.
  21. Also, the ad for the Coober "ECU" is misleading, at least to me. If you read the instructions it has you run a bunch of new connections, and nowhere does it tell you to remove the old ECU. So therefore I classify it as the same sort of add-on product. Am I wrong? https://aomc.mx/AMP-390-17.html https://aomc.mx/pdf/OpInst/KTM-DUKE390.pdf Can you envision anything that makes the Coober worth $600?
  22. Wow, that's an interesting problem, when "everyone" tries to fortify things with calcium. Have you looked at the oat and coconut alternatives? I don't KNOW anything about their calcium levels, just suggesting you look. Coconut is particularly useful since it's aseptic, so you can buy a case and put it in the pantry. In stores it's in the section with other Tetra Pak products like shell stable juice.
