  1. That's your theory.
  2. "I only do 5 over." --Copernicus For any who don't remember, I rode to Cody with a guy who wanted to stay less than five over, and really really would be against doing 10 over in the middle of nowhere. I'm talking Devil's Highway middle of nowhere. That was a long trip.
  3. It was sold, not to me.
  4. Hah, ok, all posts unhidden, fair enough. She used these on the K1200RS as both driver and passenger, on the XX as passenger, and they did give good coverage down to low-mid height boots (over ankle but not tall sport boots). At two inches taller, it probably is not a big thing. Oh, and Moriah is all leg, 32" inseam. So a person of more normal proportions, which would be about 30" inseam for 5'9" should be good. Try measuring her normal everyday jeans for leg length. I measured down the side seam. Remarkably sane. And that's not a dig on YOU but the fact that most people cannot employ such sanity. For a few years, I lived with a girlfriend and ex-girlfriend. I can have her hop on the KTM with them on, but sold the XX this past weekend.
  5. He says someone from out of town will get it Friday. Ah well, I have little time before Saturday, and I was only slightly wanting it.
  6. I know where to get *A* trailer. The question was about getting one that isn't total junk. They have mostly given me the latter.
  7. How about $80 shipped? As always I'm flexible if people think the price is not fair. Speed & Strength women's XS, removable liner, waterproof pocket zippers, 3/4" length leg zippers, great adjustment on cuffs. She's 5'7" and 115 and said they fit "perfectly" with light shorts underneath and liner on. Or with pants and no liner. Her idea of a perfect fit is to be comfortably loose, but not need a belt. There are huge vent zippers, like one going from each thigh across the back for real flow. Inside waist flat and straight across measures 14.5" and waist to leg end is 43". Great shape and light usage. With our weather they were warmer than needed and she mostly used the Kevlar jeans instead.
  8. Yeah, we rode together 20 years ago. Tips on getting a rental trailer that doesn't suck?
  9. Seller contacted. Not sure why, I guess I always need projects around. Fuck, I hate carburetors.
  10. Strange behavior in slow turns around town, an unnerving feeling. To be fair, I've got tens of thousands of miles on Avons and maybe 1k on Michelin. Could just be me. If I need a street truck tire, Michelin 100%. None of their car or bike tires have ever made me happy. The ones on the Tesla are stupid loud.
  11. Just sold the bike with Pilots on it, hated those tires. Avon would be my choice. I've seen anywhere between 1700 and 8k miles on a rear.
  12. They restored his Harley's normal operational status, not sure what the problem is.
  13. Not sure why that was unclear. You can buy PVC tube and drill any size/number of holes. You shouldn't use metal.
  14. I'm considering putting it in the Tesla and see what sort of cross-system hackery I can pull off.
  15. What Oscar says. I have no idea what you're seeing, but both solid and corrugated (flexible) perforated drain pipe are solid as hell. Designed to be buried, stronger than normal PVC pipe. Depot for sure has 6" and may have 8". You can order it or find it at specialty stores in larger sizes. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Advanced-Drainage-Systems-6-in-x-20-ft-Corrugated-Pipes-Drain-Pipe-Perforated-06010020/203298667 https://www.homedepot.com/p/Advanced-Drainage-Systems-4-in-x-10-ft-2-Hole-Triplewall-Pipe-4520010/100191022
  16. Sigh. Fine. Paypal sent. Kitchen maybe. For touchless commands while cooking with gloves on. Not sure, but IT'S ON SALE
  17. Take the motor out and turn it upside down. But yeah, if have a piece of hose around that can work well, or any kind of pickup tool, which is good to have around. I've probably used mine five times in 20-30 years, but really really needed it those times.
  18. Hah, since I'm local-ish to Alan, he might have been thinking a pickup and/or we work on his bike together or something. Grab the first set.
  19. I guess my shame pales in comparison. I paid the dealer almost $400 to do the break-in service on the KTM.
  20. To be fair, she's probably not all that far away from doing that anyway.
  21. I'm glad I'm traveling or I'd be super tempted to buy and do a refresh. If it's still there when I get back, it's a sign that god loves me and she wants me to have it.
  22. A 97 with 100k in Tucson, there's almost zero chance I didn't ride with this guy at some point. I'm out of town for a week, if you wanted it looked at I could make a trip after that. But I'm guessing it will sell fairly easily. Well, except miles scare some people. I don't have any mechanically inclined friends in Tucson any more for a quick check. You're welcome to start a conversation and use my name and bike details and ask if he remembers me (2000 Ti bird, rode with the Speedway or "pizza place" crowd).
  23. Portables of the time tended to skip in hard riding, and also none of them supported MP3 CDs. A single CD was too annoying to fuck with for long rides. That player could handle CD-RW *data* discs with MP3 files, and play them as normal discs. So IIRC, one disc could hold about ten normal CDs.
