  2. If the others become a dead end, I'll adopt it if the shipping isn't crazy.
  3. My wife says that price is - at a minimum - missing a zero.
  4. I have piles of PTO. I have a little disposable cash. I still have a thirst for adventure, the question though, how much adventure?
  5. There's a kaxillion semper Fi businesses, let me know if you find some contact info. I haven't bought this. It's still up for grabs or if racer wants a project that's fine. I'm contingent on the cost of getting it across the country. I'd pull a Hobie, but not on a bad clutch.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Joe, try Semper Fi Haulers on U-Ship. Or maybe I could find his personal info and you go direct, if you're serious I will look. He moved my R5 from NJ to my driveway for $700. Great guy, VERY well rigged trailer.
  8. Hell, just dump all your inventory on here, Joe can be our u-ship, and we'll pay him to deliver it around the country. I need a side by side. Or a ZX-14R. Or both šŸ¤£
  9. My shipper is mostly a Pac NW guy. He'll go to California for me but so far wont go much each past Wyoming. Bike will absolutely move under its own power. It actually seems to run pretty decent. The clutch is its biggest hang up - literally. Its notchy AF and dis-engages-ish. I'm sure its gonna need a basket and all. Brakes are thin and need at least a good flush but do have pressure. I seriously considered taking this home myself. I couldnt build the forks but a lot of the rest I could do and I could give its DaveK-esque detail. Reality is its a save-able unique-ish bike but not an investment piece - and I still have my R1200RS. You'll put 1-2k in it to have a bike not worth a lot more than that. Idk - maybe its a part out project for someone but I'd kinda hate that. I am an Aprillia dealer so if part are available I can order them for you and stick them in the bags at shipping. Yes - I can store here or at my place. I wont be back in Denver till mid May but if theres a shipping terminal thats cheaper I can try and get it there when I go home.
  10. Does "regional" mean only in-state? And will this move under it's own power to load to a trailer? And do you have space to keep it for a limited time?
  11. My guy probably wont go as far as you need him to. More a regional guy. pickup would be 845 Milligan Rd Idaho Falls ID 83402 Let me know. i can perhaps drop it somewhere in Denver 5-15
  12. ...dang, a guy can't even take a nap around this honey pot. Is it fly-n-ride ready, or trailer only? "Runs. Shifts. Needs a whole clutch, needs fork seals. General loving. A squeeky ball and a bed to sleep on."
  13. I was just lamenting the demise of my hitch hauler. Thankfully, provenance intervened. I'm not a hoarder. I'm not a hoarder. I'm not a hoarder.
  14. This pretty much answers the question. I know about the stock headers and was thinking the Yosh header was paired like the F.I. header. It has been many years since I messed with all that stuff and the info fades away. Too much brake clean? šŸ˜‰
  15. I don't quite understand what you're asking, but I'll try to answer anyway. The Yosh has no cylinder pairing like the stock headers do, it's 4 pipes into one all together. The stock ones pair the 4 cylinders down to 2 pipes, then those pair into one. It's a 4 into 2 into 1, instead of the Yosh's 4 into one. The stock is actually 4 into 2 into 1 into 2, but the last separation means nothing as far as the merging effects are concerned. It could stay 1 at the end or split into any number of pipes without directly changing what happened at the final merge. Pairing theoretically adds more midrange than a 4 into 1, and how the cylinders are paired also changes that curve, as observed in early vs late model pairing. I'm pretty sure the Yosh has larger diameter primaries which also theoretically reduces low end power. The total design of a header can break the rules/theories that are generally applied to headers. My recollection of my butt dyno test was that the Yosh lost a bit of power below 4k, about equal from 4-6K then the Yosh increasingly ran away. See also- tri Y headers for V-8s. They pair somewhat like the stock Bird headers do and sellers claim a torque gain. Most tri Y's are short tube which are rarely much better than an iron manifold no matter how the tubes are merged. I also have an aftermarket Bird header I took off of Cecome's bike, now my bike, that is fucking garbage. Its only redeeming qualities are that it's lighter than stock and a 100% effective anti-wheelie device. He brought me his bike to diagnose/fix his low power problem, as soon as I saw the header I was pretty sure it was the problem. I put on a stocker I had with his Two Bros cans and it came alive.
  16. I wonder if this is the F.I. header which is said to have more low end with the top end of the single can would it be the best of both worlds on a 97-98?
  17. Last week
  18. Like an older stray dog.. I have an older stray 2002 Caponord that needs saved from being put down. 2002. Silver. 44k miles. Givi top case, Leo V exhaust. New tires. Clean title. Runs. Shifts. Needs a whole clutch, needs fork seals. General loving. A squeeky ball and a bed to sleep on. Its not busted up but its aged - faded dash and all that. Took it on trade but didnt want to lol. Not worth fixing up from a dealership point of view (think labor costs). But its not entirely worthless. If I send it to auction Im not sure I'd recoup my shipping costs after auction fees and all. Will take any offer over $100. Tax and titling are your concern (does have clean, clear, signed title). Can deliver to Denver to maybe SLC on one of my trips home. Pics to follow.
  19. I was quite surprised with the power gain of this system over stock. I expected a slight shift in the power curve, loosing a bit down low and gaining a little up top, but didn't expect it to be very noticeable. If it lost any at the low end it was minimal, the gain was impressive, and I didn't tune for it. And it's way lighter. As much as I like performance, I prefer the look and sound of dual so I sold the Yosh with my first '97.
  20. Yes. Just won't fire now. Occasional pops and backfires while cranking. Gonna check the carbs but uncovering the boat first. Striper season here in communist state of NY. So many hobbies, so little time.
