SR71BLACKBIRDXX
Always had excellent results with Michelin tires. I've had Roads and Powers. Always got 5-7000 miles out of them, depending on the bike. More so than that..Michelins are one of the very few tires I've tried that will go until they're bald without chopping the front tire. Never liked Dunlop's, and have had mixed results with Bridgestones. Contrary to Carlos, Avons we're the absolute worst tire I ever purchased. Azaros I believe. I put them on my 99 XX. I actually had them dismounted after 500 miles or so. They made the bike actually wobble at slow speeds. I'm talking straight line, 30 mph. Fucking horrible. SwampNut
Funny. Old Michelins gave me a wobble.
JaBr
Not sure what the riders age has to do with tyres but whatever. When I got my xx she had metzelers fitted, after a couple of hundred miles on those ditch finders I was in no doubt that a change was needed. Been on Michelin road 5's ever since and am happy with those, decent grip in all weathers and seem to wear at a reasonable rate.

XXitanium
They are holding the road great for my old ass. Kid and I got the same tires within weeks of each other. I'd buy these again. 45 miles of hairpin turns in "not Yellowstone". Edited September 25, 2021 by XXitanium

tomek
I don't touch rear brake 99% of time, only in low grip conditions. But that, of course, depends on type of bike you are riding.
XXitanium
I barely used my linked back brake to whole trip.
