  1. Its the green material. Air passes through easily.
  2. Acorns. It lives in a shed during the winter months. Covered in the driveway otherwise. The shed is not as buttoned up as it could be.
  3. Do you guys use any carb cleaner additives? And are they successful?
  4. Running. A little rough in lower RPMs but still a major kick in the rear end at around seven grand. As usual Gentlemen thank you for all the help and the encouragement to keep going. It is very much appreciated. IMG_3692.mov
  5. I bought a K&N. $30 more but it’s being delivered tomorrow morning by Amazon. The little spongy breather filter I’m gonna make myself. Going to cut the yellow part off one of these kitchen sponges and use the green Part and cut it to size.
  6. Also what material are you guys using to replace 17254-MAT-000. Discontinued.
  7. Got the boat running so I figured I’d take another delve into this. Think this has anything to do with it? 🙂
  8. Yes. Just won't fire now. Occasional pops and backfires while cranking. Gonna check the carbs but uncovering the boat first. Striper season here in communist state of NY. So many hobbies, so little time.
  9. I'm running cables to my jeep for good juice. Once the battery runs down that is. I've got the battery back on the Tender. Brand new battery last year. It's been sitting on the Battery Tender all winter.
  10. Stepped away for the rest of today. Re-watching Altered Carbon on Netflix. I have the factory Service manual. Next time I get into it I'll try tapping the carbs. Thank you.
  11. If someone pulled up in my driveway right now and offered me $1000 for this thing I'd take it.
  12. Nevermind. Just tested. Works well. On to the next thing. Replacing vacuum line with new and trying again.
  13. Also does anyone know how much vacuum is needed to activate diaphragm. I have a mighty vac and can rig something up to test the valve.
  14. So while I'm figuring out how to update the topic title I'll give an update. First thing I did was check oil level. That was fine so second guessing my original guess on why engine not turning over. Next thing was to put up on center stand, put bike in 5th and try to rotate wheel backwards (Thanks Joe). Moved a little bit so I thought I would try hitting the starter again. Bike turned over! Sweet! Not hydrolocked. Flat spot in starter? Who knows. I am dealing with a fuel delivery issue though because bike will not start. Catches on full choke but will not stay running. Only firing a bit while starter engaged and choke on. End of vacuum hose was dry and split so trimmed it and reconnected. Still same. Is there a way to test the valve/diaphragm to see if it works? What do I need to apply enough vacuum to see if the diaphragm is still good. My lips? As usual thank you all for your help.
