RXX
Guys, I am fixing to give an old man, father of one of my long term employees my '96 Neon, free. It is dogged out but drivable. My problem is that I have a 2002 Neon also. Both cars are white, both are fairly dogged out. Th '02 is an auto, the 96 is manual. Anyway I hopped in to pull it out to the driveway and forgot to disengage the clutch, so of course it jerked and I immediately de-energized the ignition. Then it would not engage the solenoid and fails to crank. My problem is that I do not have the time to fix the damn thing. I have been at home this week after being out of town 2 weeks and am headed back for 2 weeks Sunday evening. I just do not have the time to troubleshoot. I told the guy the problem and he said he would fix it, he is handy, etc. What 1 thing can I do in 10 minutes or less? Is there a (duh) fuse that popped? Which one? Thanks! superhawk996
You holding the clutch down? Did it loose power all together or just won't crank?
XXitanium
Got power? Got hammer? Light taps Yeah, light taps on the starter. (Jump the solenoid? - but not in gear - parking break on). How long has it sat? Could the battery had raptured?
