CBR F3 to XX
I went through my pilot sports in about 5k and was wondering what was the average life everyone was getting for their rear tire and what tire were you using?
OrganDonor
I got about 3-4k out of a Dunlop rear... no burnouts, either. Never again. 7k is the norm for most tires, depending on their compound.
Northman
Anywhere from 2k - 10k depending on tire compounds and how the bike is ridden. 2500 miles on a BT014 this time, 6-7K was the best I ever got, and that was a AV46

Iceman_40
Put a set of new Avon Storms on this summer, about 6K on them and still lots to go. Was getting 7-8K on my AV46
airborneXX
Anywhere from 3k on a Metzeler M1 to 9k on a Metzeler Z6. As said it depends on the compound... And how many sharp objects you run over :icon_wall:
JB4XX
1200-3000 miles
Marko
Did about 7k with Pirelli Diablo Strada's. Was happy enough to get new set.
Banshee
I have 14,500km on my OEM Dunlop atm. Probably get another 4-10,000 out of it...
Wockman
5k on those doesn't sound too far off. I have about 6000 on a set of Pilot Powers. The rear is getting close, I will probably have to replace it in the next month or so. I'm looking at the Pilot Road 2 and the Metzeler Z6. I had the Z6 on my 919, they were good tires. But seems like everything I read about the Road 2 is positive. They aren't cheap though...

RXX
I got over 10K last summer on a pilot road rear. Doug has one on his that has about 11K on it now ('cause he's too fucking cheap/lazy/broke/pussywhooped/gay to get a new one)
TX1100F
Got 14,500 miles out of my Brigestone BT57 OEM tires. Daily commuting, no burnouts, easy acceleration and easy braking. Basically driving it like a gramma. Replaced with Pilot Roads a couple months ago.
trailfly
3000 miles with a lead wrist. I run pilot roads. It seems like I have to WHACK the throttle off just about every light.
Grover
I have 9000klm on a BT020 with still another 2 to 3000 left on it
redxxrdr
14 k miles plus on my Pilot Road front, 10K miles plus on the rear. I changed them out with wear left before a long trip. My next rear only lasted 3000 miles. But I will say it handled very well when a sharp put a one inch cut through the tire. I actually had to stop to make sure that LOUD POP was my tire blowing. Crazy Dave
My Pilot Powers have about 4k on them and the rear is starting to get the flat spot in the center from riding upright so much. There are no real curves in Fl to work the whole tread, just straight stuff. I guess a repeat appearence at Deals Gap is in order.
Jaygermeister
3K to 5K no matter whats out back for me.
Fast Eddy
If I run a sticky tire like the Dunslop Qualifier 3 to 3500 mi.(track days and such) If I run something more sport touring like the pilot roads I have on now 7 maybe 8000 mi. I don't think I would want to do a track day with the pilot roads.
jon haney
Tire mileage is like gas mileage. If you keep track of it, you'll only get more depressed. When it starts getting thin, put on a new one. Also, tire pressures can make huge differences in tire mileage. For street duty, I run 40-44 psi in the rear Dunlop Qualifier. Not sure how much mileage I'm getting because they usually have a couple of track days on them before they hit the streets.
