  1. PM sent for the small tank bag and the tinted shield.
  2. I've used a Cardo Scala Rider Q2 for about a year and I really like it. Review -->http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-intercoms/scala-rider-q2/
  3. Kelly Blue Book puts it at $6500 (retail) It has been my experience that, most times you are better off selling the aftermarket parts separately...
  4. It isn't cheap, but the the Kissan one is supposed to be pretty good. http://xchoppers.com/product_info.php?products_id=1833
  5. Although I wish it was mine... A nicely farkled, very clean 2007 ST1300 http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index....ic,35421.0.html Looks like a pretty good deal if anyone is looking to get the jump on the spring bike market.
  6. They pop up on the euro-ebay sites occasionally. I was looking at them a while back to use the headlight switch for aux lighting control.
  7. I got mine on ebay too. I think I paid around $10 for it. It is the Maisto brand 1:18 scale. I've seen them in black and silver. http://cgi.ebay.com/Honda-CBR-1100-XX-Moto...p3286.m20.l1116 A company called Welly also makes them. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CBR-1100-XX-1-...%3A1|240%3A1318
  8. A Honda version of that new BMW K1300S would be a nice place to start... http://www.webbikeworld.com/BMW-motorcycles/bmw-k-1300-s/ I've ridden nothing but Hondas for more than 20 years but that BMW has me tempted to leave the fold.
  9. The package just says "Flanged Hex Nuts - Grade 5 - 1/4-20". The brand is "Hillman" they came 3 to a pack, I think it was 90 cents or so... It fit perfectly in the hex hole on the triple tree.
  10. I picked up the rod and other parts today, the threads are 1/4 20, I also found the flange nut at Lowes. All the parts cost me about $6.
  11. Good write up, I've been looking at the other threads to figure out what parts I'd need to put a ball on the stem. I was all set to order the expanding rubber base (RAM-B-342U) until I saw this thread. You don't happen to remember the thread size for the rod? That way I can buy the other stuff while I'm waiting on the ram parts to come in...
  12. I have one of these. Its just a LED that changes color to show voltage. Its small enough to mount anywhere. http://www.customdynamics.com/LED_battery_...Panel_Mount_LED
  13. I had the same problem. 30 seconds with a dremel tool and it was good to go.
  14. My first thought too. OSB is cheap, and easy to work with. Rolls of insulation batting are also pretty cheap. Who knows you might eventually want to put in a window AC unit or space heater. It would be a heck of a lot easier to install insulation before the walls go up.
  15. Normally this kind of fiction is found on Craigslist. Thanks I needed a laugh.
  16. You should be able to grab it with a big pair of vise-grips and twist and pull and it should slide out with a bit of effort...
  17. Very nice bike, it'll sell quick. I wish I had room and $ for another. But I have a question. How do you like the radar detector? Where did you mount the display? Any chance of posting a pictures?
  18. Got mine today ! Many thanks to dave for a heck of a deal.
  19. They were originally used by privateer race teams (low budgets) not to protect the plastics but to protect the frame (hence the name) from damage during a spill on the track. Nowadays they are marketed to street riders, but depending on the bike most don't do a very good job of completely protecting the fairing from damage but might take the brunt of the damage and it would be all the less to repair later on... If mine had not already been installed when I bought the bike, I doubt I would have installed them myself. But they do make pretty good highway pegs to stretch my legs on long trips....
  20. Here is a shot of mine. They are made by Proteck and I stuck a small plastic plug in the end of them to give them a cleaner look. I can't help with any install tips, the previous owner installed them.
  21. I'm interested in the throttlemeisters...
  22. I did the same thing on my first Acura Integra. I had never seen that kind either before. I must have cranked down on the C clamp for a half hour. Then after I noticed the pistons had a cross hashes on them, so I tried turning it with a big screwdriver and what do you know. In hindsight it seemes like it should have been obvious. But now I feel better than it isn't just me. What kind of car is it? I have a Haynes manual for 3rd generation Integra if you want it?

    What temp?

+ another 1 I take it easy for the first few miles, until the temp gets up to its normal range and it also give the tires time to warm up....
  24. I remember someone talking about punching holes or cutting vents in their lower cowl to let air flow through. I never did read how well is worked or didn't work. I think it was on the .com XX site. In theory it should work, more air flow should carry heat out. I've always thought that I-4 motorcycle engines were designed backwards. Shouldn't the air intake come in the front and the exhaust go out the back instead of the other way around? But these bikes were designed by people smarter than I so I'll just shut my pie hole...
