MiDNiTXX
I was about to put a new CCT in (my first time obviously) and I see the new one appears to be "pulled back". I don't want to break anything. How do I release the new CCT?

waytooslow
okay now to take out the old one the "not automatic" says to "turn and lock" the old one before removal.... or can I just remove as is????... thanks way
Redbird
I think a lot of guys don't bother with that. I'm kinda anal, so I did- You can pull the "key" out of the new one and use it to turn and lock the old one before removal. Keep in mind when you pull the key out of the new CCT, it will release the spring and extend the tensioner, so you'll have to "rewind" it before installation. This adds about three minutes to the whole process. You can also use the diagram in the manual to fabricate your own key.
Redbird
You can take "anality" only just so far. Does that mean that I'm wasting my time torqing my valve caps on?
SwampNut
This is after you changed your air, right? As far as "winding up" the old one, that instruction is only there so you can reinstall it. If you're going to bin it, no need.
Motobeagle
This is after you changed your air, right? Yep, and He does use pure medical grade Nitrogen. Tim, it's a good thing you read through this stuff, so you can do mine when Joe sends it. J
