SwampNut
The spanners only fit on the lock ring, until you get it out of the way. The actual adjuster is too thin. But they are locked together, so when I try to remove the locking collar, they spin together. Ideas? I considered trying a punch and hammer on the lock ring to see if impact helps, but figured I'd ask here first.
tomek
Punch and hummer. Looks like plenty of room to brake lock with one, two whacks. Anyway, that's what I would try first. Pretty dumb design btw, no clue why they are not equal height.
superhawk996
You might be able to break it by hammering the wrench, less chance of marring up the ring, but I've used a punch many times. In fact, I don't know that I've ever used two wrenches.

tomek
This how it should to be done. Real shock. Note the wrench design. Allows to turn collar both ways without changing position of a wrench.
