rockmeupto125
Disconnect the power commander if it has one. Replace the fuel pressure regulator.
superhawk996
Check for fuel in the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.
rockmeupto125
Sach, because of the vagaries of autocorrect in our lives, I want to clarify. NEVER adjusted valves....or NEWER adjusted valves?
sachimore
Never have had them adjusted. Had an older guy that was Honda trained and worked at a dealership 20 years. Then opened his own shop and he talked me out of checking the valves. Eventually he moved away.
superhawk996
With 67k I'd suggest checking the valves. The Honda trained guy is an idiot. They might be fine, but if they go tight you'll be coming back to ask how much it costs to remove and repair the cylinder head.

So far it seems that as long as I leave the cover on the bike they seem to stay in spec.
ironmike
As cited by rockmeupto125 and superhawk996, that FPR merits attention--don't overlook it.

As in not riding it, just in case anyone thought he meant "valve cover".
