  1. Ok, I'm going to try the original sortware today. It's a PC 2 on a 2000. Serial Connection. The precious is good. I'll be pimpin her out this weekend.
  2. I tried to get my map out of my Power Commander. No Dice ! It said "Incompatible file and power commander version " . It was the latest software that Dynojet gives out. I have a feeling it's something to do with the Dyno shop and keeping you from doing what I am trying to do. Give it out to my friends. I guess my next try will be to see if the software that came with my PC is different than the software that's on the DynoJet site.
  3. I overheard someone mention that droping a tooth on the front sprocket is hard on your bike. Is there any truth to this ? Big Jeff
  4. I saw this one at Americade. It worked well on the display they had set up. http://www.airrider.com/

Get Michelins. The Pilot Roads have been excellent for me. I've had them to Americade, the Hoot, the track, and all my riding around home here. I considered changing them before the nexxt until I took one look at em.
  6. I was wondering if that Walmart Everstart Battery is as good as the Yuasa. Is it ok to use it ?
  7. I have Micron slipons with a PC 2 and had it Dyno Tuned. Problem is the map is in the PC and I don't have a way to send it. Someone should bring a Palm or Laptop to the NEXXT to grab maps. Just a thought
  8. You'll probably end up maxing the preload before you get the correct sag.
  9. I set mine for 7%. I wish I had gps to check it. What do you have yours at ?
  10. I think I found it. Under the tank in a big rubber boot down close to the engine. Does this sound right ?
  11. I have been using Liquid Glass on recommendation from a body man/ friend. Has anyone tried it ? Thoughts ?
  12. I just got my Speedo Correction Unit in the mail. Can anyone tell me where the plug for it is on the bird ?
  13. Never mind I found it in the "Molybdenum oil question" Post
  14. Does anyone use Pro-Honda HP4 10W40 ? Is it worth using instead of GN4 ?
  15. No, it's not bent. It's mainly due to raising the rear.
  16. My bike leans a fair amount when it's on it's sidestand. Is there a way to lengthen a kickstand ? Or maybe one that's a bit longer from a different bike.
  17. Well I attached my dampening rods to my top caps today and boy does that make a difference....Doh....
  18. Well, I took the caps off the forks today. They Popped off because of air pressure. I took the springs and all out and it turns out I had 50mm to much oil in each one. So I used the thumb over the straw trick and removed the right amount of oil. It turns out I used 7w oil. So I'll leave it like this until my 5w comes. I rode it today a bit and it's better. It doesn't top out near as easy but I think I heard it top out on a bump. Do any of you ever notice your forks top out ever ? Thanks for all the good info BTW Big Jeff
  19. Ok, sounds good, thanks. "Refill with the right oil, pump the forks up and down 10 times and the damper rod 15-20 times. Then measure the height with the forks compressed and the spring OUT. " Can this be done on the bike ? Is there a set volume of oil for our froks ? I ordered 2 quarts of Racetech oil last night. "Damn, if you think that rides good, you're gonna jizz when you feel them with the right oil at the right level! " Kick ass ! Big Jeff
  20. "but the rebound would try to lengthen your forks as quickly as possible" That's exactly what happens. When I go over a big bump or drop off. Clack !! Like 2 stilletto switch blades Big Jeff
  21. The ride is deffinately not harsh, It's real similar to stock. Just more responsive. We added the oil while the fork was extended. I was not the one pouring I was holding the fork tube. I don't remember how much we used. Big Jeff
  22. I tried for 160 mm using that paper guage they give you. I'm sure I got the hole right. I had Racetech explain it to me. Do you think the oil weight could cause the topping out ? Big Jeff
  23. On the sheet from Racetech the recommended fork spring preload was 20mm. I ended up with 22mm because I had to add a washer. Big Jeff
  24. I think it may be compressed by 22mm. I need to look at my paperwork Big Jeff
