2024 Jeep Rubicon X 2011 miles on the clock today Purchased in April of 2024 Driven in fresh air all concrete - no dusty conditions Oil looks and smells NEW Change it now Change it at the end of next season Thx

Not the case at all. The ones that are not double sided and insulated are lite as can be. The ones on my condo.... thin and lite aluminum. They put some foam board type insulation on the inside panels...but the door panels themselves are as thick as a typical house gutter.

I love the Hydroshield product on my tires. Low sheen and lasts through multiple drives in the rain.

My 2023 and 2024 Lexus had the start stop feature. Not a single 2025 Lexus has it.

I simply yanked the negative from the aux that was attached to the main battery. Now that aux battery is there but not doing anything. Pulled the 42 fuse which powers all the goodies when the engine is in stall mode. Now the jeep runs like every other car out there with 1 battery and no auto start stop present. GTG! Most everyone was a huge help to get it figured out.

Good people take a different route.

All good, your assistance nor criticism is needed here. But a thank you to Oscar for helping me out and getting me started on what I needed to do.

Yep, I am all good. I need to disconnect the AUX battery and kill the Start Stop feature to get my desired result which is not to have a secondary parallel battery (which is impossible to get to without dissembling the entire damn car) and run off 1 battery....which, based off my reading the Wrangler forum... 50% of forums members do. Did it last night...and I am ALL fixed up!!!!

Not sure what you are asking or saying with that reply. Challenge is...that little aux battery is located in a spot where you need to yank off the entire fender to get to it and pull or replace it. if I store my jeep and only take out the main...the aux goes dead and then when I hook up the main the dead one draws off the main. So, the fix (60 page thread on the wrangler forum) is a quick fix to disable it as it is not needed when you disable the Auto Start/Stop feature.

Run the car off 1 battery. Disable the auto start stop. Install a battery disconnect switch.

The primary battery will charge the auxiliary battery unless you disconnect it.

Thank you!! I think I’m going to pull fuse F42 and disconnect the aux battery ground cable from the main battery which kills (eliminates) the aux battery all together. Then hook up the auto start stop kill switch and be done with it all. All the aux battery does is control the auto start stop from drawing on the main battery as well power the accessories that continue to run when the car is in auto stop mode.

This particular quick disconnect is made in the USA by a USA company. Starts with a W think. Regardless of that…it’s definitely not cutting power. Maybe this one is defective. I don’t drive the Jeep all winter, not once and plan to pull the battery and bringing it into my heated garage and charging it for a few days every few months at 1 amp. During the driveable months it’s driven 1 time per month…or every few months exactly as you describe hence my desire to pop in the quick disconnect. Appreciate you offering up some direction.

Can you recommend one?

Black - brand? Link? thanks

I thought about that too...it's like a plastic layer. I'll order a new one. On the Jeep there are wires that go from the negative terminal to the positive (including the battery tender wires) so maybe because of how they wire it...there is still a connection.
