When I get into the world of "sensors" I get lost pretty quick. I think we narrowed it down to what Joe wants to do. It's amazing how much meter you can get now days for the $$ Like Tv's. The second link I posted is a do all meter for ac and dc. It has more features than my expensive meters of yesterday.

Joe, here is a guide how to use the min-max function on my old Fluke 87. @ 10:45 Hope it helps.
-
Joe, you made me look. I read five of their ads and none of them talk about that min-max button. I am still willing to gamble 50 bucks that it will capture it. True RMS measurement. If not that button does nothing. Ocilliscope would be the ultimate. I don't know how to use it. Carlos may have more to add?

Joe, I think there is alot missing from the product description. Just basics. The guy never did demonstrated the Min-Max voltage or current feature yet they say it captures peak in-rush current for review. I feel it is safe to assume it will capture min-max voltage also. Thats why it has a min-max button. Otherwise you would only need the to press the In-rush button to capture current. He could have used that adjustable power supply on the bench to demonstrate both min-max voltage and current but, he didn't. Now about those sensors -- Carlos can answer this question better than I as I don't even know the ranges of measurement needed. It is capable of Mv measurement. Will it capture it? I would gamble 50bucks on it. Never seen a multi meter with a min-max button that did not toggle select between the hi-lo over the time measured.

Well, it was. Like a light switch. Terrible, Freightning to ride. Handled bad and I didn't even know it. All about the straight line. I thought it was suppose to wiggle when the front end came down. Steering dampers and wheelie bars was a new idea back then. You had to ride the fukn thing.

Correct. I went back to an F2 grind cam for the turbo. Much less lift. Worked real good. I like that Yamaha crossplane motor but, I went another direction.

Tomek, thats pretty harsh. As tall as Bill is, I bet he can see the corner before you.π

Be sure to keep your fingers away form the live metal parts. Ask me how I know? D135511B-8F3D-4A7D-8FC6-0999F5F43695.mp4

Min-max hold is a really good feature. Can't always watch the meter. What ever you buy, get the extra leads, covers, clips with insulators.
-
My second suggestion will work for you. DC capabilities needed for automotive. Joe, it also has live wire sense built in. That is real handy for AC use. My meters are old and don't have that.

You can change the power curve by changing the lobe centers. I assume you retarded the timing a bit for higher rpm over-run? I had to advance cam timing for the turbo bike. That helped. It was a lousy bike for the street. Behaved like a 750 H2 triple. The 7.8:1 pistons have pletty of relief cut. I only changed it for the power delivery. Was not a clearance issue.

Joe, this one will capture DC current also. Another 600V CatIII Real handy for automotive. https://www.amazon.com/TESMEN-TCM-300D-multimeter-Auto-Ranging-Temperature/dp/B0D5M5LZBP/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?crid=3GYX9FIMJQIZB&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.YuY9k1dSP1PgGJ5MY8NJVLUDhqDexh4Q-ehiR1Qh8juYgR-KdQ-2AjWRoxUPnINflbsVzJ3Wpq1OLklw65bsG_HJC8RYfy_xBcR77R-Svtg283tTs7z3NX6OUQi8QEsbB7eRw71o4222F4CfMnLzXSFmANmgcThPY_xzmlaGTZkE2VLk4nwNTmdK2QxDuU7sTm2odj6NzMSPnF9CnmRvrjECiM2U9m4Ip0H8VeXRovmfffgsJOigMXfuTTW7OFLNkWVL7s6FXp7yOC5bgyZotu0OZO9SqGvrHpt2PUk3D4Y.jGvHC8-YI4Bgca5h96oYU2s4f0EzMvh8yWFympU6220&dib_tag=se&keywords=multimeters&qid=1742101351&sprefix=%2Caps%2C124&sr=8-4-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1 If you are wanting to check ignition coils ------ spark plug, preferably a new one.π

How high of voltage is expected? I have a few meters. Fluke is my favorite. Ideal has held up for me. It records for review. You can get a do all AC clamp-on meter with many features for a reasonable price. 600V CatIII Even with a thermocouple input and diode check. Will look for a link. brb Heres one that would do most anything residential. https://www.amazon.com/TESMEN-TCM-300A-Auto-Ranging-Capacitance-Temperature/dp/B0D5M81GQJ/ref=sr_1_50_sspa?crid=3NTBGZAT8OFJ9&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.rDwEW5ybmfFa_gTiaVKsY-cyiiNFlRXwzjimgdX4p-ve6H7p_FRzeMDKSfqSVK_7E38FKlcGZH-4xZywVTxVZOZ3G5COpM2e0IOiU71GCSjBTmpQmNTJyN3YYBW2rCANekCDuKu-r3ukGs2916joO30wWxXVSJBB1QtLn6yapNsJimAkZOMjfxthll5Ta4em0gxzISan3ouYpEqS8UQiRvF0dNa3V1iO_lAgEOpIryAFK9ENKJkVOB38x3RzhKlPY_gqUpZqduFDo6G0OPMzcf1UWJaGPGzthwqtEKXJrl4.k7NBe_qq_2aFURWUYwpVkwN9PJcyeQXmfa3EcWpoXuU&dib_tag=se&keywords=multimeters%2BIdeal&qid=1742098985&sprefix=multimeters%2Bideal%2Caps%2C189&sr=8-50-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9idGY&th=1

Phillip, they did a beautiful job of powder coating your XX wheels. We managed to clean the threads. Buy some cheap bolts. Just make sure they put bolts in threaded holes before they powder coat anything again. Looking forward to the Guzzi rolling again.
-
One of your pics shows a degree wheel on the crank. I am curious. Do you have slotted cam sprockets? Did you change the lobe centers or just use it for valve adjustment, backlash measurement for the cam chain?

Close enough to lick the windshield.

Let me guess. Did someone actually pump the OEM jack to the point of breaking a weld? Imo, looks like HF solution to minimize liabilities is fair enough. It would be expensive for HF to correct this. Robot welder must have had a bad day? The vertical weld on the top bracket looks undercut. A small fish plate will cure that.

I didn't say anything about a bus. There are alot of windows on the way to school. Ask Bill. -
Me either? wtf? Sounds like an automotive thing to meπ

The white wire used as a switch leg can become a problem in a J-box with other neutral wires connected by wire nut. You are suppose to "tag" both ends of the switch leg with black tape. The lazy electricians don't always mark the switch end. Generally, there is no neutral in the switch box. What bothers me is those low voltage types using the green wire for whatever the fuk they feel like. And they splice shit with differant colors along the way. Automotive even hides the splices. Socksuckers. "Green is Ground the World round."

It's ok Bill. 308Norma. Your only off by about 1000ft per second. (need that poke-poke button) -
Ouch. Is the machine hurt? Hope not. Just a damaged belt?
