  1. You guys don't know who he is? Watch Fox news sometime.
  2. A while back someone on here found some big o rings that worked for cheap. My 97 rubber strap is still holding on, for now.
  3. Good but it always bugs me when I fix something without knowing what I did to fix it.
  4. So you took them apart and cleaned everything? If so, could you see the problem?
  5. I have a car that isn't moved from Nov. to April in unheated garage and have never had a problem with flat spots.
  6. There is a slight flat spot from the factory on the 97. Even remember reading about it in Motorcyclist magazine when it came out. A jet kit will help the flat spot if tuned well.
  7. If your bike was OK before and down on power now, you shouldn't be looking at a jet kit but finding the problem. I have a Dyno Jet kit in my 97 and it works perfect but without finding your troubles first, you will be chasing your tail.
  8. Looks like shortened factory cans. I would like to see and hear them in person.
  9. This sounds right to me.
  10. In Motorcyclist magazine, someone wrote in and asked if they could use a oil filter for for a Kawasaki on a Yamaha. Same size and it fit thread wise. Here is their answer. Each individual oil filter is designed for a specific engine's oil pressure, filtering requirements, and flow rate. Some filters have bypass valves that direct oil back to the engine in case the filter gets clogged, while some engines have internal bypass valves and use filters that don't have them. A valve with the wrong opening pressure might route dirty oil away from the filter and back into the engine. Filters are cheap; engines aren't. Get the right filter for your bike. It's not worth the risk. I have used car filters on my bikes because it is easy to find them. But, do you really know if the filter is bypassing or not? What are your thoughts?
  11. The thread said man. date of 2012. If the post is true and Bridgestone gave me that reply, I would spend the rest of my days spreading the word.
  12. I don't know about MPG but I like the 16 tooth. It is cheap and easy to do. If you don't like it, just switch it back. There might even be someone on here that has one that they don't want and will sell cheap.
  13. Let us know what you think of the full system fit and sound wise.
  14. A O or X ring chain has grease behind each O ring. I would think that soaking the chain in diesel would remove all of that.
  15. I would like to see a shot from the rear. I take it that you tried turning the pipe which would make it go up and down? Did you send the photo to Yosh? I would do that. Maybe that one pipe is screwed up from the factory.
