  1. Try here:http://www.hdlparts.com/fiche_section_detail.asp Which is hondadirectline.com for 1999-03, it shows a total of 7 friction disc (it seems to be 2 of one kind and 5 of another) and 6 plates. The clutches for 97-98 are different. I have not used Honda direct.
  2. Yea, a month or so ago in Motorcyclist magazine in the smart money section, it said that carbed Birds run cooler than FI ones.
  3. I have bought it both ways.
  4. It's your bike, do it if you want to. Post some photos when done.
  5. http://secure.mycart.net/catalogs/catalog....;showprevnext=1 Connecting the map selection switch allows the rider to switch between two different maps within the Power Commander. For Touring Bikes this could be used to switch between a "fuel economy map" for long rides and a "full performance map." For sport bikes it could be used for applications such as "dry nitrous oxide" kits to permit the user to make the fuel mixture richer when activating the system. Additionally, if the Power Commander has an ignition module connected it can switch to a less aggressive timing map at the same time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gear Position/Speed Input Fuel and ignition timing (when using the Dynojet Ignition Module) adjustments can be made based on gear position or speed. If the user wants to advance the timing in lower gears while retarding it in higher gears this input makes that possible. (+/- 50% Fuel and +/- 10 Degrees of timing per gear) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pressure Input When using a Power Commander on turbocharged applications, the Boost input option (0-5v input) makes it possible to have the fuel automatically increase with boost level. In situations where the user has an adjustable boost controller, this makes remapping each time the boost level is changed unnecessary. (+/- 50% Fuel and +/- 10 Degrees of timing) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Relay Outputs (2) Based on the data from the Power Commander and the inputs from the Multi-Function Hub, a solenoid, relay, warning light, etc. can be triggered. This can be used to activate items such as a shift light, nitrous oxide system, or air shifter. (Activated based on Throttle % and/or RPM, 3 amp max output) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now you can get many of the functions more expensive aftermarket ECU's offer! Automatically shift your bike (w/air shifter), activate your nitrous system (with dry nitrous kit), and automatically add more fuel! 6. Mine rubbed on the swingarm until until I spaced the can holders out from the bike with washers.
  7. Don't do it, it's way too much work. Just send them to me and just think of all the beer you could buy.
  8. Did you every put yours on?
  9. From that site: All tire pressure values are collected for the standard tires of the specified model. Your motorcycle may be customized or use alternative tires. If the pressure values listed here are different from your manual or placard, you should consult your tire specialist. They are way different.
  10. Sort of like all the time you spend washing your socks instead of wearing them.
  11. Yes it would. Have you ever taken it to the strip?
  12. Got a photo of your stretched out XX?
  13. A few years ago I put it in a Goldwing for a while and didn't notice any difference.
  14. Don't forget that you have to make the brake lines longer and use a different chain guard.
  15. Who here has ever had a oil related problem with their Bird with any brand of oil, please raise your hand.
  16. That is what I thought too. BTW, Bridgestone bike tires say right on the sticker not to do that.

    18T front

I have often thought about this. You any of you felt any difference in handling due to wheelbase change while changing gears size?
  18. Hey, I saw them do it on American Choppers.
  19. Complete highjack Did you watch the Pro Stock bikes at Reading last weekend? Hines went through the lights at about 190 mph and his front wheel was so high off the ground that it was on the wheelie bars. They said there is a sight bump right before the finish line. It was wild.
  20. I read a review on them a couple of months ago in Motorcyclist magazine and they really liked them. They look like a great dry weather tire but without using them, who knows. They may be like the Avons, some people love them (get a million miles on them) and others get no mileage, the front of the bikes shakes and they hate them.
