  1. I still use a grunge brush and kerosene takes maybe 5 minutes total scrub really good, wipe down, scrub down again, wipe down really good. Use some dupont chain wax I found at lowes in between scrub downs. got 26k miles out of last chain, still in limits but developed a tight link and front sprocket was due as well.
  2. Thanks. Had thought about running these on my F150 next to try out. Takes about an hour to change the bulbs. Crappy design that uses 10 bolts, screws and pins to just reach them. Also lack a lot of ventilation as they have them rubber back seals to keep mud and rain out of the other part of a crappy design.
  3. Little question on the heat output of the LED bulbs. Seen them with the built in heat sink and even small fans to keep them cool. Is this to protect the electronics or the diodes themselves from heat exposure? Do HID bulbs produce this much heat as well or do the ballasts?
  4. Thats an awesome price on some LED lights, let us know how they work for you.
  5. Yep, huge damn bottle neck shoving and squeezing all the hot exhaust gas into a small opening. Interesting find on someones bike. Cbrbear has some very nice items on his XX. Curious where it came from. Toss it on ebay and see if someone wants them to fix or make work less sucky
  6. post a pic of these damn things curious to see what they are so restrictive to flowing out HP. I talked to a local shop near few years ago about doing some exhaust work, guy hand builds exhausts for bikes and cars. would love to keep dual pipes never did get them done as my riding lately has been limited.
  7. All good, I currently have the Buell pegs on I got from Ben. Two issues I find is they dont allow side stand all the way up and being all metal with blunt knarled surfaces my hard soled boots slide some. My XX hasnt moved since june, was hoping Nexxt would allow me to ride.
  8. Got any pics of it in action John? Everyone bitches about my led turn signals not being bright enough. Might help with that issue, ass I have gave away my stock housings.
  9. What is one sided is all those screaming at trump for all he has exposed wrong with DC. He is nuttier than squirrel turds but is clearly showing those who pay attention how currupt and fucked over the American people have been for decades. Or Could just have Hillary and continue down the same path. Sorry your family left Scott. If all they can do is pack up and leave because of what has happened and shown wrong with DC business as usual.. Good riddance, America first, your feelings second.
  10. Seems to like you working on it. Better than the guy who cant work on it and just sells it off.. Wish we could ride at work. Only a select few can. They get away with it by saying they are checking out the property. No joy riding on site allowed.
  11. Sell it back to him plus time, labor and beer
  12. Why sell, just enjoy. These guy did drag racing quads. They had a christmas tree and everything for their play area of local antics betting and tuning. Then would go to the sand drags at Newtown Dragway to run for money. Worked with a few and would bring to work and ride the property. People would then go buy a stock honda 450 and run 104 or 110 gas in them thinking they would have a chance to compete with people that have 10 grand in their engine alone. After you test ride it you will either keep it or be scared. Love the smell of 2stroke in the afternoon
  13. Buddy had one with a stage 2 trinity? maybe engine kit done to it. It was silly stupid fast, buddies with raptors thought they were fast. Then he would just pass them and laugh. Last time I saw it he was talking about making it faster.
  14. That sucks on many levels. I don't know much about putting a turbo system on anything. I imagine once you do go the route its nearly impossible to put back to oem.
  15. The original gel battery in my triumph trackbike was in there for 3 years. Then about two years ago my xx battery took a crap. Had a planned trip in a couple days so I swapped them, ordered new battery for XX and went on my trip. Both work great even with lack of use. Bought 1 of them off Amazon for $26. The other was off ebay for $35 same brand chrome pro.
  16. Have you looked into Gel batteries? After playing the battery game of them only lasting a couple years even with trickle chargers I moved to gel batteries. My Triumph is a lay on side battery and hasn't fazed it at all in past couple years. Even in my XX the only battery to ever last any length of time was my OEM Yuasa. Lithium will be my next choice to install, by then all bikes will be electric and we will be left with nothing more than tire threads as batteries, spark plugs and oil posts will be long gone..
  17. Yep, many people run it in their trucks as well. Good stuff, people have tested it at blackstone labs many times and it always tests great. I been using it for a decade I assume or longer. Also run it in sons old dirtbike, lawn tractor and sure something else.
  18. Once a year or 4500 miles on average. Normally around same time I replace tires. Do everything at one time to not worry about it for rest of year. I will write mileage down on masking tape and stick to one of my tool boxes when doing tires and oil. When I went to bridgstone bto16s my mileage went up to 4500 miles. Will be going to bridgestones 21's next so will see how that goes for mileage comparison. Run it in track bike as well. Two track days on last change. Oil still golden in color just slight odor of fuel in it. Also prefer wix filters, napa gold are same filter.
