  1. Three things to do if you leave it powered up. 1. Close the ball valve at the tank when you're finished using it. Thanks for reminding me Rich. 2. Fix any leaks, especially the ones on the tank. 3. Make sure there are no easily combustible materials near the compressor.
  2. That is cool. Never seen one like that. Definitely, worth fixing. Around here it would rust from the inside out.
  3. That's better than popping a hose, and having the compressor pump run 24/7. Pretty sure that is what happened at my previous place of employment, and somehow it burned the whole place down. Wichita's only 5 alarm fire, ever. Three small divisions of the the company, and the compressor was in the one called "Rubber Supply". 100 year old warehouse-type building. Imagine a giant pile of tires on fire, with not one drop of water in any of them.
  4. "That's what she said"😆
  5. I have the opposite problem. It sometimes gets too humid in the house, because the outdoor temps are too low for the A/C to run. I should have a separate de-humidifier, but the problem isn't bad enough for me to spend the money. I just turn on more ceiling fans.
  6. Unfortunately, the tacos and their green chile sauce are the only things better than Taco Bell. ( I know, not saying much). My wife likes the place, I prefer others.
  7. That's what it did with the first charger (very old Sears unit). I put my Battery Tender Jr. on it all day yesterday. Light was still red when I got home, but that SOB started. Woo Hoo! Drove 4 miles to the Taco Tico, and 20 minutes later it started again. Woo Hoo! Now we'll see how long it lasts.
  8. Denial is the first stage.
  9. Those are big ants, or you have a very small hand.🤔
  10. It didn't start. Less than two years old, and leaving the key on accessory 24 hours may have killed it, permanently? WTF! Will have to jump it tonight, and take it for a longer drive to see if that helps, maybe back to Sam's for a replacement. Or maybe I just need a new battery charger?
  11. The one I bought for my truck from Sam's (Duracell) a couple years ago has 890 CCA, and was about $135. Probably a little more today. Haven't looked. A Nissan V6 doesn't really need that much juice to crank, but in the winter it sure helps the computer and relays wake up a lot sooner. I left my key on accessory Sunday night after working on it, so was dead Monday evening. Charged it last night, and rode the bike to work today, we'll see when I get home if it recovered. Hopefully, not one of the cheap ones.
  12. Why? Don't see the problem. My race leathers are ragged and nasty, but they are no longer needed. My gear runs from cheap to upper middle quality, depending on the item. Helmets are up on a shelf (I need a new one), jackets and pants are also hung up. I spray for bugs in the garage, but still occasionally see some spiders (alive). Mostly just dead carcasses (Viper insecticide is awesome). No mice can get in, and no scorpions here.
  13. That's where I keep mine. However, I do have a mini-split heat pump that I keep about 77 in the summer, and 62 (lowest setting) in the winter.
  14. I don't think that will work as well as just leaving your gear in your ARIZONA garage, unless that also has a humidifier. 50% humidity?? Really? I set mine at 35% in the winter. House might go up to 50% in the summer, but never really looked.
  15. Looks like a Jawa with an eye injury. Don't ask me which one. Never mind. He's just winking.
  16. If this engine is not mounted into anything and the clutch basket is already removed, just flip it over and remove the bottom half of the cases. Then you can visually inspect the crank bearings. If they look good, slap it back together, with some new Honda bond, of course. Make a template out of cardboard, so you can keep track of where all the bolts go.
  17. Hatchet wound? You got to tell the rest of that story, if there is one.
  18. Pretty sure it was the valves. Especially, if this engine was in a dirt-track car. Even with good filtering, it seems that fine dust particles always find a way in. Also something to consider is that if the cam timing was altered for more duration (intake valve open longer), I believe that would effect the compression numbers (slightly lower), since a compression test is normally done with the starter (slow-turning). Some of the air gets pushed back through the intake.
  19. What if it's unnecessary? Remember Ritalin? Lot's of parents unnecessarily medicating their kids, because they felt they couldn't handle their high energy, and claiming ADD. Maybe what they couldn't handle was discipline. Wimps. I hardly hear anyone talk about ADD or ADHD anymore. Did we cure it, suppress it, or is it just no longer trendy? When criteria for autism diagnosis is so severely relaxed, (1 in 10K to 1 in 31) you have to ask the questions: 1. Was it really that big of an under-diagnosis problem, or is it just now becoming an epidemic? Why? 2. Are they now over-diagnosing? 3. Who is benefiting most from the avalanche of autism diagnoses? The patient? The doctors? The drug companies? (Probably, not the insurance companies) I don't really know the answers to any of these questions, but I do know they should be asked when such a drastic change is documented.
  20. I wasn't speaking to severe cases where it's obvious, and needs professional attention. What you described sounds more like bi-polar disorder than autism, but I'm not an expert.
  21. Not a pharmacist, so I can't. However, that doesn't mean they, or doctors, won't try to sell you something for symptoms. If not them, the "supplement" industry will be all over it (with outlandish claims).
