  1. He tries so hard. I'd give him a cookie, but he wouldn't understand how to eat it. Reality aside, it's also telling that someone would conflate knowledge with practice, and learning something new with having been able to deploy it immediately. Dumbass.
  2. Well, I know my memory, I put the tape in mine for ME. Fuck the next guy.
  3. It would, and we probably have no way of knowing it specifically. We have charted the general background levels moving up, and I'm not sure exactly how that informs us how much makes it to food. Like arsenic in certain mining areas.
  4. I sanded my stuff (irrigation and wires), but no boards. Hadn't thought of that. Though in my case, the lights sort of form a warning line, LOL. Guess where the pipes and wires are... Really sounds like your direct burial plan makes the most sense.
  5. Almost done. Mostly decluttering everything from three projects including the flooring.
  6. My old black Harbor Freight foam tiles were becoming a mess. I had some spares, and some time, and decided I'd blow 15 minutes replacing bad ones. So yeah, 15 minutes.......... I learned that many of them no longer fit into spaces others were removed from. They take some abuse, but mostly, they were shrinking and expanding randomly so they'd no longer fit/lock well together. Some had become larger squares but flatter, some shorter and I suppose probably thicker, didn't measure those. "Fuck this shit." So I rip up a bunch of them and come to a realization; the shop is suddenly brighter. Well fuck. Physics dummy, a dull black surface kills light. I shop around and find there are a bunch of wood-grain options that are actually quite pleasant to look at, and light colored. And what's more appropriate for a wood shop? I liked the light bamboo option, but took pine because it was more available, quickly. So it's bright, and it's pleasant. More than I thought it would be, I thought, "it's just a shop who cares." Well for the first week every time I walked out there it shocked me and made me happy. This is medium-density foam for walking comfort, not for motorcycles and sure as fuck not for cars. I rolled a light bike on it and it was definitely pulling on them. A bike rolled in straight and back out is probably fine, I had to make a corner. I have never had a vehicle in this garage, but woke up with energy at 4am but it was uninhabitable outside, and wanted to work on it. Garage is heated. Oh, also of course the foam means you can walk barefoot. I ran it around all the tools, like a standard shop, because it makes standing and walking far less impactful when you work in there for hours. Old shit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DM5XYV4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Aside from the effect it had on lighting, I picked up a six-pack of these cheap basic lights for $44, to provide easy fill-in lighting. Places where shadows hit or I just wanted some extra fairly direct task lighting. Places I couldn't hit with a shop light like under the garage door which is nearly always open. The LED chips were a bit directional and sharp, so I sanded the plastic tubes with my RO sander to make them frosted, easy. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MT1VXM2?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. You made me realize I haven't picked up an air tool in three years, minimum. I say that because I was wishing I had run an air tube next to the 70A power for the shop and bought the parts about that time ago. And reality is, I probably sat on the idea for 5+ years. Fucks were depleted, and it didn't get done, and I kinda wanted it once, but not enough I guess. Which is all my way of thinking through this with you and realizing that allowing for future growth simply is no longer relevant. Electricity covers all power needs and wifi covers communications, not like you'll want a phone line out there later or a remote light switch with low voltage control. Wire in the ground is stable, well proven. Why waste time, money, and materials with no gain? What possible benefit is there really? I need to make a Craig's list $100 box of make-it-go air tools and parts, and gain back three drawers. What's with the boards? They stay in the ground? My only direct burial is 24VAC landscape wire and no codes were considered.
  8. The old Chinesium tiles were shrinking and expanding randomly and not fitting together any more. It was surprising how much brighter the room is when you don't have black tiles all over. I basically gained at least one free shop lamp. Now waiting for the final box to arrive to finish.
  9. Political and Religious bullshit. It's made of Chinese steel and you better pray to your choice of deity that it doesn't kill you.
  10. Add to that, the people who have no clue whether the new beam is clean or not, and the people who are HAPPY to be blinding everyone else. One brand I have used successfully as retrofit is "Pathfinder." But these China brands come and go. The one I was going to recommend to you as my last purchase, for the XX, is gone.
  11. We've already proven a connection to a decline it cognitive ability, now this... https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2023/12/231212112342.htm
  12. Over the years I see more and more evidence that not all carbs are our enemy, and combining them with certain things seems to correlate with worse effects. Buttered potatoes with salt, for example. These two docs have led me down a few interesting new paths of learning, because they've told me something I disagreed with or didn't know. Useful stuff, presented well. Right up there with Gregor and Cronise.
  13. Again, yes, I totally agree with you that two well regarded doctors is totally the same as a talking head with only a financial motive as his background. But you agree with them, so I get it totally. What color again?
  14. Ah yes, random uneducated commentators are EXACTLY the same as these guys... Dr. Paul Zalzal and Dr. Brad Weening are orthopedic surgeons and members of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Together, they help make medicine accessible by serving up practical insights on orthopedic Tomek, have you figure out what a carbohydrate is yet? There's probably a Dr. Seuss book on it.
  15. I felt like doing no work for lunch so two of those, some guacamole, and part of a can of black means with some hot sauce made a tasty burrito. I've been told that black beans are pretty keto-friendly because of super slow absorption, but didn't research it myself. Avocado is quite low carb, high nutrition.
  16. Something I've been aware of for many years. And it has helped Moriah tremendously. In this eye-opening episode of Talking with Docs, Dr. Zalzal and Dr. Weening delve into the controversial topic of dairy consumption and its potential impact on health. Unveiling the myths and facts surrounding dairy, they explore the reasons why some believe it's detrimental to our well-being. Get ready for an enlightening conversation that challenges conventional wisdom and encourages viewers to rethink their relationship with dairy.
  17. That's definitely the problem with Trim Serum. It looks great, but get it dirty.....ugh. Since this shit hard-coats and dries, probably not a problem.
  18. The tires would actually have a downside though, in bouncing instead of flexing.
  19. There have been a few conversations about that product, and how good it is. Or was. It also has its downsides. Trim Serum can run, and stays greasy-wet for many months. I put it on my Givi trunk, and hate it. Never considered how much I touch the thing. And it rubs off the areas of the bike that get touched like the side covers by your knees. I had a problem where uncured Trim Serum washed down all over the windows and car with a sudden unexpected rain right after applying it. I just used this on the brand new plastics for the XR650R, and it made them super shiny, and slippery, but it won't rub off. I don't have any aged plastics to try it on yet, but when the bike arrives, it will get tested on the old plastics. Now I have to wait or work hard to remove the trim serum that I've already used so I can apply this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SHJVK4G?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Note that it's a very high skin irritant and can cause eye damage instantly. This is probably why it's only sold in wipes and not a liquid in a container. The SDS is kinda scary. Before: After:
  20. According to the manual, there's a filter and two screens, and a complex changing process. I'll run down to Screwy Louie's for a filter, they always have advice that's better than the manual. Pennzoil, Royal Purple, or Crisco?
  21. There's no danger, and I assume it must be legal because many houses have 20a-rated wire and they put in 15a breakers.
  22. Five grams. It shouldn't shock me that the 'tard who doesn't understand how air currents work or off road tires work, also doesn't understand how carbs and fiber work. Yet is The Professional dietician. Fiber is technically a carb but is not absorbed and doesn't count. But Americans as a rule get way too little fiber. So 5g NET absorbable carbs, and 8g fiber, and 8g protein plus a ton of micronutrients makes these pretty damn good nutritionally. The US RDA for carbs is 130 on average.
  23. Chris, not sure if this is in your plan, but... A useful tool for me has been the flax and whole grain tortillas from Santa Fe tortilla factory. Only 5g carbs, 8g protein, and tasty and soft. https://www.samsclub.com/p/santa-fe-tortilla-company-homestyle-whole-grain-with-flax-tortilla-wrap/P03016035
