"We've always done it this way." "I don't like to learn new tech." "It was working fine yesterday."

The whole outdoor space is being refurbished with this stuff. I thought the smoker would need to be repainted, but no. From now on, nothing goes out there before being ceramic coated.

How else would it run if not loaded locally?

You didn't say what difficulty or where the machine was resource-constrained.

BTW, here's my review on gloves and other winter stuff:
-
I guess I was unclear. 12v liners are readily available and cheap. I don't think 12v liners with a built in battery exist. When I made Moriah's stuff I used large RC battery packs, a controller off the bike, etc. She had to carry a battery in a pocket, and it connected to her riding vest. It would have sucked to use just for gloves. The gloves all have small packs that are 7.2v. Even my riding gloves are 7.2v (same battery as those liners), no need to be tethered to the bike. That's so 1999. I have both an AC charger and a USB charger for them, so I can charge from the bike if needed (never have needed to). By having both the thin ones which I use off-bike, and the dedicated bike gloves, I have four batteries. I hate using liners in my gloves since they are already well fitted. The "liners" are my winter walking-around gloves, and for using the drone RCs or similar.

Can't help you on 12v, but this is what I use, and really like. I've never seen battery gloves that are 12v. I made some, but never seen them commercially. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W97B82V?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_8

Google results are less hot than hoped. -
And then there's this... Reusable, waterproof/oilproof winter work gloves. Things like bike washing suck in winter since a nitrile glove offers no warmth at all when wet. These are excellent. Super grip, waterproof from just above the wrist, and with medium insulation. Stuff will stay cleaner in winter now. I picked them up at a store that does Amazon and Home Depot returns/clearance for $6 for two pair.

Out of curiosity I looked, and USPS ground is $131. -
Cooking gloves DO NOT stand up to conformal coating.

Me too (well smoker, no Weber), but it dried out a lot over time. I'm going to clean it up and use this restorer on it.

Light switches and outlets come with instructions? Colors aren't needed. Everyone knows the little one is hot, the round one is ground. It was merely a question of amusement. Irrelevant since it's obvious anyway.

You didn't understand what I wrote. Colored terminals have been a thing all my life. Its WHICH color.

Today I was called a leftist because I explained to someone how to keep a syringe sterile, and not follow some really retarded non-sterile advice. Well documented stuff. What the actual fucking fuck? Free thinking medical procedures; viruses love this one weird trick.

Jesus fuck. AnD tHEy'Re SO hEAvy. I've also seen that explanation on speed ratings, and thought it was rated at 70F. There's also a delamination thing they talk about. The load would have to go with it, because full speed with full load is gonna be very different from unloaded.

It will get much better once we deport all the Mexicans and white people do this work.
-
This is what I did on the Rivian in both weight rating and speed rating. Some idiots were freaked out about it, because it's a magic number or something. Softer tires ride better. Same as I had done on my 2500. I do have to keep under 117 MPH I think?

Oooooohhhh.....all the smart switches and outlets have black screws. Probably why I was thinking that. Until recently I would only remove regular ones, not add them. Just recently I got a bunch of smart bulbs and now the dumb switches and outlets need to go back. And now, many of them are going neutral-free.
-
My last three houses have had neutrals in the switch boxes. Before that, I have no idea. I noticed because they are necessary for most smart switches, which I only started using in the 90s. For the three ways there's a neutral at the main, and none at the remote if the remote is single-gang. Yesterday I was the asshole electrician, I ran a black/red with plain ground in the yard. Because again, free direct-burial 12# wire is nothing to throw out. Am I imagining things? Didn't switches and outlets used to have a black screw and a silver one? Now they are all silver and gold, with the latter being the hot/black. I have only recently depleted my hoard of old electrical parts and had to buy new.
