They and many others use triple square on a bunch of stuff, I doubt it has anything to do with safety. German assholes have been using them for decades. It's possible that it's superior to the 'normal' fasteners, but from my experiences I say it's not.1 point

I've been messing with the screens on all my bikes (more than 20) and this combo probably makes more of a different than any of them over stock. YMMV I'm only 5' 101 point
