DaveK Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2438173913 Someone explain or confirm urban legend ! Dave Quote
CBR-RR-XX-CESS Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 Well,we will see I just bought two,one for the XX and one for the 954,there is a sucker born---- JS Quote
JasonW Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 Dave, it clearly says exactly what kind of gains to expect right in the auction......... Performance gains are very similar between the Yoshimura & Next Level units. . In many instances(reviews widely available on the internet) the Yoshimura unit did not provide any performance increase at all(and in all fairness to Yoshimura, other times it did). Product: G-box Seller ID: Strokum Hmmmm...... I'll just leave that one alone. Quote
Mr.XX Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 this sounds like something that has been around in automotive circles for a while Venom 400 module http://www.coximport.com/venom/400.html I have one of these in my Accord and there is actually a performance increase.... I'd like to hear what CBR-RR-XX-CESS has to report after install  Quote
Andy1100 Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 Ok CBR-RR-XX-CESS..... We're expecting a full report, installation, riding impressions....etc. Hope it's not junk... Quote
SwampNut Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 Wow, what a total bunch of bullshit. It's no more than a very simplified Power Commander type unit. One that merely adds some fuel to the mixture, with little or no adjustment. And since the PC doesn't add that much HP... I'm also rather dubious on the four-wire installation. What signal exactly does it modify? Urban Legend. Quote
DaveK Posted October 22, 2003 Author Posted October 22, 2003 I am anxious to hear what CBR-XX-SS finds ? Yeah...what are the 4 wires for ? Yeah.....Look at the sellers name....Strokum...and he is selling a G-box ?? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I say Urbanian legend. Quote
birdie_xx Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 The Cycle World (the one still on the shelves) did a test of this (I think it's the same !?) product.... Their conclussion - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!! Cheers, Quote
Redbird Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 The one in Cycle World is a "G-pack over 3". Similar name, wouldn't be too surprised if they're coming from the same source. According to Cycle World- Ups- -Clever idea -Inexpensive -Easy to install Downs- -It doesn't work -Neither do the instructions Quote
