IcePrick
I know I've seen some great ones, but never did find make/supplier. I'd like a clear lens, and a really bright brake light, preferably strobing. I'm not too wrapped up with integrated turn signals, but if it comes that way, so be it. Any help? OrganDonor
Not that it's super bright, but I have a rather cool UFO taillight in my garage... brand new in the box.

TuffguyF4i
I made this one myself. Installed a 50led programmable strobe (or continuous on) light on the bottom. Custom made the top myself
IcePrick
Now that looks nice. I don't trust my skills cutting a clear lens open without ruining it, though - that plastic tends to be tricky. I'd have to do something like your top half, with additional overdriven LEDs to make the brake portion - mine's a '97, and about half the size of a '99+ housing. Someone had one at TeXXt a coupe years ago, can't remember who - but it was very bright and flashy-flashy.
TuffguyF4i
You can just buy some premade LED inserts and pop them in. Much like i did with the lower one.

IcePrick
Absent any testimonials for something crazy-bright flashy strobing, I guess I'll order the CA's from John. Is the new website working yet?

Not yet but the old one is running but if you decide to get the CA one like I posted above send me an email and I will email you back an itemized invoice with a 20% discounted price that you can pay with any major credit card or Paypal. The tail light will be direct shipped to you from Clear Alternatives in California with their full lifetime nontransferable warranty. rockmeupto125
What's in your taillight now, icepick? I could pick you out from everyone at T-NeXXT just by your taillight, even when you didn't have the brake on.

I just have the 2357 bulbs in a red lens. I'd like a clear lens with some eye-popping LEDs that would strobe a few times before going solid, like Mikey's. The rear turn signals/flashing brake lights I have are Hyperlights.
TuffguyF4i
Where did you get the LEDs? I'll try chopping mine up and soldering shit. I actually did a how-to on the project. http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?...c=58604&hl= The best are orange-red superflux from Lumileds. The orange red shine through red housings better than red. Buy a tube (60) from this guy if he will sell just one. Or buy them all and sell what you dont use off. The amber ROCK for turn signals This is a good forum for electronics stuff. http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread...ange-and-Amber) I actually have an extra, new 50LED programable module, if you are interested. I'll sell it for less than the normal new prices of around $50. http://www.strobe.com/component/option,com...ufacturer_id,0/
