Can someone translate this for me? (GAS Rating)

Yes...91 RON is 87 pump octane. More is better....feed her the good stuff (93 pump octane) at least occasionally. It certainly doesn't require it, but it can't hurt.

Fuel up to E10. Minimum 91 RON (87 RON/MON) fuel.

Is this regular 87 pump gas ?

Im not sure I know what you're asking?

Pump gas means "what you buy at the pump" verses race gas or aviation fuel or boat fuel.

Regular 87 pump gas means 87 octane (RON) fuel that you can buy at the local gas station.

Fuel up to E10 means you can run gas/fuel with up to 10% Ethanol.

Minimum 91 RON means the recommendation is that you run Premium. The 87 RON in parentheses I believe means that the minimum octane rating that can be run is 87.

Is this a recommendation on a vehicle you have? If so, then for the best performance and milage you should run Premium (91) with a max of 10% Ethanol.

ok?

"Octane rating or octane number is a standard measure of the anti-knock properties (i.e. the performance) of a motor or aviation fuel. The higher the octane number, the more compression the fuel can withstand before detonating. In broad terms, fuels with a higher octane rating are used in high-compression engines that generally have higher performance."

Wiki:

Research octane number (RON) for commercially-available gasoline varies by country. In Finland, Sweden, and Norway, 95 RON is the standard for regular unleaded petrol and 98 RON is also available as a more expensive option. In the UK, ordinary regular unleaded petrol is 91 RON (not commonly available), premium unleaded petrol is always 95 RON, and super unleaded is usually 97-98 RON. However, both Shell and BP produce fuel at 102 RON for cars with high-performance engines, and the supermarket chain Tesco began in 2006 to sell super unleaded petrol rated at 99 RON. In the US, octane ratings in unleaded fuels can vary between 86 and 87 AKI (91-92 RON) for regular, through 89-90 AKI (94-95 RON) for mid-grade (European premium), up to 90-94 AKI (95-99 RON) for premium (European super).

RON - research octane number , MON - motor octane number , MON is much tougher standard , air entering engine is at 100 C deg , the test sort of mimics supercharging system in early piston airplanes , blah , blah , blah .

MON is 8-10 points lower then RON for any given gasoline .

What you see displayed on the gas pump in U.S. is RON + MON /2 , so yes , 87 regular is about 91 RON , 93 premium - 97-98 RON .

Wario`s post is totally wrong .
