For Sale -- a long list of Motorcycles 4 Sale: Thinning the Herd

Recommended Posts

I have the following motorcycles from my collection for sale. I am not

a dealer...I just have too damn many motorcycles. Don't worry, once I

sell these, I'll still have 8 left to play with.

SOLD

*1980 Yamaha XT250 single cylinder four-stroke enduro motorcycle.

*1975 Kawasaki KH500 two-stroke triple. Good original condition with

8300 miles. Missing rear grab rail, otherwise complete. Runs very well

and is an excellent candidate for an easy and economical restoration.

Rust on handlebars and the inside of the tank is lightly rusted and has

been treated. Petcock seems not to close immediately so there is a fuel

shutoff in each of the three fuel lines. New battery. $1800

*1975 Honda CB400F four cylinder four-stroke. Good and complete

original condition, runs well. Has been repainted and some of the

chrome has been painted for some unknown reason. There is an oil leak

in the valve cover or cylinder head and oil gets on the exhaust and

smokes after running a bit. Another excellent candidate for an

inexpensive restoration. Tank is nice and clean inside. Baffle is rusted or has

been removed from muffler. 27,000 miles, good battery. $1000

*1973 Honda CB350G two cylinder four-stroke. The G model designated a

front disk brake. Fair and complete original condition. Good

compression but not running at present. Tank was full of rust and a different

good condition tank comes with this bike. It will need the carbs torn

down and cleaned, and a battery. 7100 miles. $450

*1971 Honda CB350 ***SOLD***

*1997 Honda CBR1100XX.***Sold***

*1997 Honda CBR1100XX.***SOLD***

*1999 Honda CBR1100XX. This is my regular driver since I bought it with

2400 miles on it..now has 40,000 miles. Bodywork is repainted pearl

white. Fair to good condition with a crack in the upper cowl from

knocking it over in my garage. Some small upgrades including HID high

beam. I wouldn't hesitate to take this bike across the country

tomorrow. By the end of the summer the chain should be replaced and

the valves checked. $3600

*2000 Honda CBR1100XX.***SOLD***

*1997 Honda CBR1100XX.

This bike had the front end and plastics replaced due to a

misunderstanding at a city intersection. The plastics are fair, and the

front cowl has a hole in the side with a decal over it. It runs like a

champ, has had regular maintainance, recent valve adjustment, chain,

and filters. I would not hesitate to take this bike across the

country, and if I didn't tell you, you'd never suspect it has 139,000

miles on it. These bikes last forever. $2000

Is this my old bike?

John....yes, reluctantly.

Rich....yes, unfortunately.

Zero....Yes, pics would be nice except for the information overload they'd create. If I was selling these as a package, I'd have pics up, or links to pics. I may even place some small shots in the ad once I find time to either retake them, find them on my computer, resize them, and upload them. As it is, if you have an interest in one or a few of the bikes, I'll be more than glad to provide you with more information that includes pictures. Thanks for the interest.

Comes stock. No Corbin, no Ohlins, no damper, no farkles, no blings, no rack...all stock....'cept for HID high beam and anything else I'm too lazy to take off.

Whoa!

I may have met you a couple of years back. Were you in a group ride that stopped at the tavern for lunch near the intersection of 44 and 664 in Haneyville?

Joe, I've got a good buddy who has been looking for a low-buck 'bird, and may be contacting you shortly about the $2800 '97, or your whitebird... He's a recent member here, and I've just sent him a text about your post...

Thanks,

Mike

No problem... He's going to PM you for pictures of the '97, as soon as his username gets approved... (he had stumbled onto the "premier" board by accident a couple of weeks ago, when I told him to come to the "xx forum"... My mistake)

This is the one that CAL was riding at NeXXt, right?

If there were a bunch of XX's there, it was me, because that was NEXXT.

If that was June 2007, yep. Your bike (white XX) made the highlights of our rally. White was unique, but the whole shark motif on the nose caught many people's eye. :icon_biggrin:

That's correct. It had a low speed stumble that certainly interfered with Cal's strip times, but readily picked up the front end once it was out of the basement rpm. I've since switched out the carbs and it simply purrs.

Thanks to JasonW for that good work.

Joe,

This is Mike's friend. I'm finally through the registration process. I'm surprised they didn't ask for blood or something to get on this forum (just kidding)! Anyways, I am interested in the '97 $2,800 bird. Could you PM me some pictures of it? Thanks!

Sent you pics, Walt. Thanks for the interest.

I'll take the red one.

I'll call you to work out a pickup time.

This will be fun! I can't wait to get started on it.
