lensmanxx
I noticed on my '97 after a short run that was a odor of gas/oil out of the right muffler. It didn't exactly smell like unburnt gas or oil, and I had the oil changed before the ride. Nothing appears to be leaking, and I didn'nt notice it last year. The bike has 19,000 miles on it. I didn't see anything that matched after searching. I am hoping the smell is just from the bike sitting for a couple of months. No unusual odors out of the left muffler. The carbs were balanced last year, before the last owner sold it. Anyone with a similar experience?
rockmeupto125
I can't say I've had a similar experience. But I do think you should not worry about it and keep riding.

blackhawkxx
I remember a good while back someone else saying the same thing. It turned out to be nothing IIRC.
TitaniumBird
Take it out and open it up. I don't think you're supposed to be putting your nose in there though anyway.
RC Randy
I've noticed more of an emission of fumes from the exhaust since I did the PAIR modification.
