A Head lamp flash

Flying Scott

Recommended Posts

UK model bikes have a switch that activates the high beam when pressed, the area is blanked off on US models, bikers and drivers like to have head lamps that can be flashed, not so common in states.

I discovered that you can "flash" the headlight when travelling in gear by pressing the starter button, presumably it cuts out the headlamp relay, and the starter is disabled when the bikes in gear.

If done in neutral it runs the starter, possibly debatably unhealthy while engine is running.

Does anyone know of any harm other than surge to bulb to press the starter while the bike is in gear?

Thanks

TC
